Genshin Impact 6.7 Luna VIII Guide: New Maps, Events, and Stellar Conduct

The 6.7 Luna VIII Update for Genshin Impact is live, wrapping up the Nod-Krai cycle just ahead of the 7.0 era. It also adds a new playable Cryo character, a revamped reaction system called Stellar Conduct, new story and world quest requirements, fresh locations on the moon side, and a full slate of events and quality-of-life tweaks.

Checklists: what you need before you start

This update includes a set of quest and progression gates tied to the new main story content.

  • Reach Adventurer Rank 20 or higher.
  • Finish Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”.
  • The new quest supports Focused Experience Mode.
  • To unlock the related quest: hit Adventure Rank 20 and complete “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”.

New character: Sandrone

Sandrone arrives in Version 6.7 as a 5-Star Cryo character. She fights with the “A Teaspoon of Transcendence” Claymore, is also called “The Marionette”, and is identified as the Seventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers.

Sandrone’s kit includes partywide damage support through Polestar Field, where she can boost the entire team’s Stellar-Conduct DMG. She also commands Fagio, an autonomous construct that deals Stellar-Conduct DMG on each Charged Attack while it accumulates Decoding Power. Once Fagio reaches its firing limit, its attack cadence increases.

Using her Elemental Skill, Sandrone can move through the Polestar Field while still firing at enemies, and she also reduces Decoding Power to keep Fagio from “overloading.” Her Elemental Burst unleashes artillery fire against opponents, and any beam DMG dealt inside the Polestar Field is treated as Stellar-Conduct DMG.

Sandrone isn’t the only new face in the update’s banners. The other 5-Star character in Phase 1 is Citlali, while Phase 2 features Columbina and the Raiden Shogun.

Stellar Conduct: a reworked reaction system

Superconduct (Cryo + Electro) has historically been weaker than many other reactions, and Version 6.7 introduces a reworked system called Stellar Conduct.

When Cryo and Electro trigger Stellar Conduct, a Starlight Prism appears on the field and briefly turns the area into a Polestar Field. While characters are inside the Polestar Field, they gain a Cryo and Electro DMG Bonus. When enemies are struck by Cryo or Electro attacks, the field stores the fading elemental energy and then fully releases it every 4 seconds.

This loop boosts the damage bonus further, and it also raises the Base Stellar-Conduct DMG coefficient for 4 seconds. On top of that, opponents take reduced Physical RES.

Some characters can also trigger extra effects tied to “Radiance: Stellar-Conduct” while standing in the Polestar Field. These bonuses enhance certain Talents and skill effects, and in some cases allow Talents to deal Stellar-Conduct DMG to enemies. That Stellar-Conduct damage is also capable of producing CRIT Hits.

New main story and world quests

To access the new story content, the update requires the checklist below. The “Focused Experience Mode” option is also available for the quest.

  • Reach Adventurer Rank 20+.
  • Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”.
  • Focused Experience Mode is available for this quest.
  • To unlock: reach Adventure Rank 20 and complete “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”.

New areas: the Moon, Nod-Krai additions, and Ancient Moon’s Remnants

Version 6.7 adds a brand-new permanent region: the Moon. Players should be ready to use reduced gravity to explore ancient dragon ruins and dig into mysteries tied to Columbina, including a lunar shuttle exploration and more.

In the Nod-Krai region, two new areas are also joining the map: Dunnana Pit and Frost Moon. The requirements are as follows:

  • If you’ve reached Adventure Rank 20 and completed Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”, a Teleport Waypoint will be automatically unlocked near Dunanna Pit in the southwest of Nod-Krai’s Misty Shoal. If you completed the Archon Quest earlier, the waypoint will unlock after the update. You’ll also receive the Primogem reward for that waypoint when it auto-unlocks.
  • Travelers can unlock Frost Moon by progressing through the World Quest “Moon Gazing”.

Another area is added as well: Ancient Moon’s Remnants.

  • During “Moon Gazing”, once Frost Moon is unlocked, the two “Ancient Moon’s Remnants” locations become available: “Nuur Stone Circle” and “Curtain-Form Blackbody Containment Lab”.
  • At Nuur Stone Circle and Curtain-Form Blackbody Containment Lab, Travelers can accept the World Quests “Origin of the Sequence” and “Beneath the Lunar Sea”. After finishing those quests, Travelers can use Luna Sigils to upgrade both Ancient Moon’s Remnants.

For exploration convenience, both the moon and Teyvat maps now include a new layered display that shows the player’s current level in real time. These new regions also add new Fishing Points and Radiant Spincrystals.

New enemy: Precursor’s Secret Source Matrix of Overseer Network

The update’s latest foe is “Precursor’s Secret Source Matrix of Overseer Network”. It’s described as a Secret Source mechanism that, during fights, can use Archaeolune Energy to start a Convergence Field and then gathers Hydro to power up its behavior.

To counter it, Freeze the enemy, then use Shatter, Melt, and other elemental reactions to break the ice and stop the mechanism from functioning.

Fontinalia Film Festival: aquarium management in Fontaine

In Fontaine, Charlotte, Citlali, and many others are setting sail aboard the Wingalet to celebrate the midsummer water festival. Sandrone will join the crew, and Columbina arrives with a film crew for a shoot. Players are tasked with helping manage the ship’s aquarium and welcoming visitors.

During the event, fish underwater in Fontaine (and keep an eye out for valuable chests) to collect fish and items. Those resources can then be used to populate and decorate the aquarium. The more impressive your setup, the more customers you’ll attract.

After finishing the event, players can invite Charlotte to their party for free and also obtain a new outfit for her. Citlali’s new outfit will be available at a discount for a limited time.

Miliastra Wonderland: new lobby, outfits, and Wonderlands “Early Access”

Miliastra Wonderland gets a new summer-themed lobby in Version 6.7, along with summer-themed outfits. Complete activities to earn rewards such as Prismatic Crystals and an elegant 4-star set.

For Craftspeople, the Editor receives practical improvements and new environment assets to expand interactive gameplay options and visual variety. Creators can also subscribe to their favorite Craftspeople to receive real-time updates whenever Wonderlands are newly published or updated.

Version 6.7 also introduces an “Early Access” option for Wonderlands. When publishing a Wonderland, Craftspeople can choose to release it under the Early Access label. After it’s published, Travelers can see that label and view the creator’s notes on the stage details page.
