Viking FK Push Bayern Munich Hard on Champions League Matchday 2

European football’s leading club competition returned with a high-scoring round of matches and several significant results, while Bayern Munich were made to work hard by opposition from Norway.

The Norwegian side produced one of the most eye-catching performances of the opening action, pushing Bayern into an uncomfortable contest and ensuring the German champions could not take control easily.

Across the competition, goals and major outcomes gave the new round an immediate sense of momentum, with plenty still to be discussed as the European campaign resumes.
