Salah Stars with Hat-Trick and Assist in Trabzonspor’s 4-0 Galatasaray Rout
Mohamed Salah delivered a hat-trick and an assist as Trabzonspor swept aside Galatasaray 4-0 on Saturday, continuing an extraordinary start to his Turkish Super Lig career.
The Egypt forward struck after four minutes, carrying the ball from midfield before applying a composed finish. He added a second goal two minutes before the interval, putting Trabzonspor firmly in control.
Salah completed his treble in the 80th minute and also set up another goal in a dominant home performance. Trabzonspor’s attack repeatedly ran through the 33-year-old, with Galatasaray unable to limit his influence.

The Galatasaray display extended Salah’s remarkable early record at Trabzonspor. He is the first overseas player since 2000-01 to score in each of his first three home league matches for the club.
His seven-goal return has included a brace against Istanbul Basaksehir in the second round and a further strike against Genclerbirligi in round four. The goal against Galatasaray has now taken him within one of matching Yilmaz’s long-standing opening-six-game benchmark from the 2011-12 campaign.
Salah will now link up with Egypt during the international window. On his return, Trabzonspor host Samsunspor on October 10 as they seek to build on their league position with their new leading scorer in sustained form.
