Pokémon Pokopia Beach Vacation Event: Catch Barschwa, Unlock Milotic

A new event is live in Pokémon Pokopia, bringing a “beach vacation” theme and a chance to meet two water Pokémon. From August 13 to August 28, 2026, you can catch Barschwa at the Pokémon Center in Welkwüstia, and unlock Milotic through an associated habitat mechanic—plus collect event-specific decor and habitat items to build your own seaside paradise.

Event window and where to find the new Pokémon

• Date range: August 13 to August 28, 2026
• Where to start: Visit your Pokémon Center in Welkwüstia
• Barschwa: Appears during the event when you visit the Pokémon Center in Welkwüstia
• Milotic: Can be unlocked by enabling the right habitat and placing the event items

How to get Barschwa (and what it wants you to collect)

1. During the event, stop by your Pokémon Center in Welkwüstia to trigger access to Barschwa.
2. Play the event’s collection loop by gathering Schönschuppen (the currency/material used for event exchanges).
3. Find Schönschuppen only on Wunderinseln.
4. When searching the island, focus on the edges and beaches. The center areas of the referenced Wunderinsel (Piepi) didn’t produce any finds, while items were located close to the shoreline.
5. Return to the Pokémon Center and exchange the collected items with Barschwa to obtain event rewards.

Unlocking Milotic via the event habitats

Milotic is hidden behind a specific habitat setup. You’ll need to place the correct items and then wait for the water Pokémon to be drawn in.

Habitat #006: “Fun at the beach”

• Habitat #006 rewards/items: Sandbett, Großer Schwimmreifen
• Pokémon associated: Barschwa

Habitat #007: “Maritime recreation”

• Habitat #007 rewards/items: Beachvolleyball-Set, Kühlbox, Schwimmreifen
• Pokémon associated: Milotic

How to finish the event successfully

1. Get and set up both habitats: #006 and #007.
2. Ensure the matching items are placed in each habitat.
3. For Milotic, wait a bit after placing the items so the water Pokémon is pulled in.
4. Once both habitats and Pokémon are unlocked, the event is considered successfully completed.

What happens after the event ends

• Barschwa will automatically be added after the event, and it will also feel at home in habitat #006.
• Milotic is tied to habitat #007, which is where it’s meant to be lured out.
• Even after the event, you can still buy all items multiple times to keep building your beach-themed setup.
