Checklists

How to Craft Cushions

You’ll craft cushions at a Crafting Table by combining three Wool Slabs. To create Wool Slabs, put at least three Wool into your inventory and use them at the crafting table to make the slabs.

There’s an important rule: the Wool Slabs you use must all be the same color. If the colors don’t match, you won’t be able to craft the cushion or the required slab items in the first place.

How to Use Cushions

Once you have a cushion, place it on a surface and your character will sit down. The game triggers a sitting animation, and you can then step back—zooming out and away—to appreciate the view, or remain in first-person and keep looking around.

You can trigger the sitting interaction directly with the cushion. When you’re finished, press the Left-Shift key to stand up.

Cushions can be positioned in multiple places: on the ground, on top of other furniture, on trapdoors, or anywhere you want characters (including other players and NPCs where applicable) to take a seat. It’s a small decorative addition, but it also makes it easier to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere in a peaceful Minecraft build.

All Cushion Colors

There are 16 cushion colors you can use. If you’re aiming for a particular cushion shade, make sure the corresponding wool type is in your inventory when you craft—your cushion’s color comes from the wool you use during the crafting process.
