Matías Soulé Returns to Argentina Training After Son’s Birth
Matías Soulé has returned to Argentina duty at Ezeiza after leaving the squad briefly for the birth of his first child, with the Roma forward now back in full training ahead of a potentially significant international window.
Soule returns after birth of son
The 23-year-old stepped away from Lionel Scaloni’s camp to be with his partner for the arrival of their son, Bautista. The couple announced the birth from hospital through a joint social-media message welcoming “Bautista Soulé” as the new love of their lives.
Congratulatory messages arrived from within Soulé’s football circle, including Roma colleague Paulo Dybala, who said he was looking forward to meeting “Bauti”. Camila Galante, the wife of former team-mate Leandro Paredes, also sent the family her congratulations.

A long-awaited senior opportunity

He later featured prominently for Javier Mascherano’s Argentina Under-20 team at the 2023 junior World Cup. His start to the Serie A campaign with Roma has strengthened his case again, having produced two goals and one assist, and he is viewed as an option in attacking midfield.

Argentina are due to play three friendly matches during the break, starting against Bolivia on Wednesday evening at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. Burkina Faso are scheduled to follow three days later, before another meeting with Bolivia on October 6.
