Travel to Widow

  • Prerequisite: Recruit Tali during “Citadel: Expose Saren”
  • Location: Serpent Nebula – Widow – The Citadel – Presidium – Embassies

Homecoming is a straightforward assignment that opens up once you’ve uncovered evidence you can use in Citadel: Expose Saren. Like that earlier mission, it takes place on the Citadel itself.

The Citadel is the galactic hub sitting in the Serpent Nebula, the only cluster in the western side of the Milky Way. Widow is the only system under this hub, and there are no Discoveries to find here.

Talk to Samesh

You’ll meet the person tied to this quest, Samesh Bhatia, at the Embassy Reception. He’s located in the northeast corner of the Citadel Presidium, inside the reception area for the Presidium Embassies.

After you speak with him, the situation becomes clear. Samesh’s wife, Nirali, died on Eden Prime, and he just wants to give her a proper funeral. The Alliance, however, is refusing to provide her body, and as the commander in this role, you can step in and help.

Talk with Diplomat

Next, you need to talk to a clerk named Bosker, who works for the Alliance. To reach him, go west from where Samesh is up the stairs, pass through the door, then continue west to the far door to enter the Embassy Lounge. Bosker himself is positioned leaning against the right-hand wall—talk to him there.

Speaking with Bosker explains why Nirali’s body is being held. The Alliance says it has taken a new kind of damage from geth weapons, and they’re keeping it for study so they can improve future protection for people using what they learn.

Make a Decision

At this stage, you have four possible directions. You can either Charm or Intimidate Clerk Bosker, or you can end the conversation and then Charm or Intimidate Samesh Bhatia again back at the reception area.

Both approaches ultimately hand out the same kind of rewards, so the “right” move largely comes down to how you want to roleplay the situation—whether you lean toward compromise and persuasion or push harder for immediate action.

Here’s what you need to unlock each option, along with what you gain:

  • Persuade Clerk Bosker:
    • If you have 2 Charm Points, choose “This isn’t right” for +8 Paragon Points.
    • If you have 2 Intimidate Points, choose “I’m releasing the body” for +9 Renegade Points.
  • Persuade Samesh Bhatia:
    • If you have 3 Charm Points, choose “This is important” for +8 Paragon Points.
    • If you have 3 Intimidate Points, choose “This is war” for +9 Renegade Points.
      • Interestingly, Ashley will still side with Shepard if you pick this.
  • If you have 2 Charm Points, you can pick “This isn’t right” for +8 Paragon Points.
  • If you have 2 Intimidate Points, you can pick “I’m releasing the body” for +9 Renegade Points.
  • If you have 3 Charm Points, you can pick “This is important” for +8 Paragon Points.
  • If you have 3 Intimidate Points, you can pick “This is war” for +9 Renegade Points.
    • Interestingly, Ashley will still side with Shepard if you pick this.
  • Interestingly, Ashley will still side with Shepard if you pick this.

If you manage to meet any of the Persuasion requirements above and then select one of the options, you’ll receive a noticeable boost to Paragon or Renegade points, and the side quest will wrap up shortly after.

If your persuasion was directed at Clerk Bosker, make sure you return to Samesh and tell him the good news so you can properly finish the assignment.
