How to Finish Washed In to Unlock Hangyodon’s Tourist Shop in Hello Kitty Island
“Washed In” is the second of two City Town quests in Hello Kitty Island Adventure that you’ll need to complete to unlock Hangyodon’s Tourist Shop. That shop sells City Town–themed clothing and furniture, along with items tied to Hello Kitty and other characters in the game. You can begin this quest on the next real-time day after finishing “Playing Tourist.”
At the close of “Playing Tourist,” Hangyodon pitches the idea of a souvenir shop based on City Town. In “Washed In,” you’ll help the fishy entrepreneur turn that plan into a real store.

Investigate the mystery of the new store
Start by talking to Cinnamoroll. He’ll explain that he has an important delivery to make in City Town. Then, go to City Town and speak to him again. After that, Usahana will arrive and ask whether his delivery is connected to the mysterious shop she’s been hearing will open soon.
Go inside the Theater and talk to Usahana again. The Theater sits on the rooftops one level above Piano Plush Pals. To reach it, use the tube to the right of the Plush Pals store and climb up from there. Inside, Badtz-Maru, Pochacco, and Hangyodon are rehearsing for their new play—one that seems inspired by the classic “Waiting for Godot”—but they’re distracted by odd boxes piling up in the theater.
Hangyodon tells you that City Town souvenir boxes started appearing after he mentioned his souvenir shop idea during “Playing Tourist.” Usahana suggests everyone take a lunch break so they can talk more about the new store.
Talk to Usahana one more time while you’re just outside the Theater to receive the full list of foods she wants you to prepare. After that, head to the Imagination Cafe to cook everything she requested.
Make lunch for everybody
At the Chef’s Station inside Imagination Cafe, prepare the following items:
- Sweet Sando
- Citrus Boba Tea
- Tart Mochi
- Tropical Dango
Sweet Sando x 1
- Whipped Cream x 1 — made at the Chef’s Station from Cactus Cream
- Candy Cloud x 3 — Cinnamoroll’s return gift (note: you can use only one Candy Cloud and two of any other ingredients, and the Sando will still count as Sweet)
Citrus Boba Tea x 1
- Tea Leaves x 1 — purchased at the Imagination Cafe PC using City Coins
- Tapioca x 1 — purchased at the Imagination Cafe PC using City Coins
- Lemon OR Lime OR Orange x 1 — harvested from trees in Keroppi’s Orchard
Tart Mochi x 1
- Rice Flour x 1 — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice and Usahana’s return gift
- Cherry OR Plum x 1 — harvested from trees in Keroppi’s Orchard
Tropical Dango x 1
- Stick x 1 — picked up in Seaside Resort, Gemstone Mountain, or Snow Village; obtained when fishing for Clamfish
- Rice Flour x 3 — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice and Usahana’s return gift
- 3 of ANY of the following (mix and match allowed):
- Coconut — found on the ground on beaches in Seaside Resort, Spooky Swamp, and Gemstone Mountain
- Pineapple — picked in Seaside Resort
- Kiwi — harvested from trees in Keroppi’s Orchard
- Mango — harvested from trees in Keroppi’s Orchard
Help Usahana open the Tourist Shop
Find Usahana in City Critter Park, located on the far east side of City Town. When you speak with her, additional boxes of City Town souvenirs will show up. Usahana interprets this as a sign that the new shop should open, so she assigns everyone tasks.
Your assignment is to gift Usahana the following items:
- Candy Cloud x 35 — Cinnamoroll’s return gift
- Blue Dye Pouch x 5 — obtained by recycling items at the Recycling Plant. For guidance on which items create which colors, check the Recycling Plant guide; an easy approach for blue is to use Seashells
- Magical Onigiri x 15 — made at the Imagination Cafe’s Chef’s Station using:
- Rice x 15 — Usahana’s return gift
- Seaweed Sheet x 15 — made at the Chef’s Station using Seaweed found in the Sewers
- Glow Berry x 15 — picked in Spooky Swamp
- Rice x 15 — Usahana’s return gift
- Seaweed Sheet x 15 — made at the Chef’s Station using Seaweed found in the Sewers
- Glow Berry x 15 — picked in Spooky Swamp
After you hand Usahana the items, follow her to the new shop location, which is next to Pekkle’s Music Shop. Hangyodon will step in to run the store, and the Tourist Shop will open. As with every City Town shop you open, a Dream Fragment will appear, and Usahana will be eager to keep investigating the mystery as the quest ends.
