Hello Kitty Island Adventure: How to Befriend Nyako and Move Her In
New cat friend alert for Hello Kitty Island Adventure: here’s how to befriend Nyako, meet her as a Visitor in City Town, and eventually get her to settle into the Rainbow Tower.

Nyako is a cat who tends to be a little of a crybaby. She’s friends with Usahana, and she’s a Visitor exclusive to the City Town area of Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This guide walks you through befriending Nyako and moving her into the Rainbow Tower.
Nyako Visitor Requirements
Before you can meet Nyako, you need to do two key things: bring Usahana up to Friendship Level 9, and finish the quest “Tea Time,” which unlocks Boba Tea at the Imagination Cafe.
Once those are handled, you’ll use Orange Sherbet Crates to unlock apartments inside the Rainbow Tower. Then decorate one apartment for Nyako with the following setup:
- Must be in City Town to be near Usahana
- Must have one Very Sweet Starry Boba Tea
- Must have one Magical Onigiri
- Must have four pieces of Tropical Furniture (any type)
Head to the Visitor Menu to confirm your apartment is ready. If everything is correct, it will show a green checkmark. Nyako is a monthly visitor who comes to Friendship Island every five weeks, swapping in and out with the other City Town visitors.
Gifts
When it’s time to shop for presents, Nyako responds to items tagged with Tea. That tag lines up with the Boba Tea you can prepare at the Imagination Cafe.
Friendship and Daily Quests
You can grow Nyako’s bond by completing five quests. After you finish the fifth quest, you can ask her to move to City Town permanently.

Once Nyako has moved in, you can unlock and complete the quest “Cloud Arrays,” which adds cloud-shaped lights to select areas of City Town.
