Gothic Remake: Alkimia Interactive Teases New Features After THQ Nordic Showcase 2026
Alkimia Interactive used the THQ Nordic Showcase 2026 to share what’s next for Gothic Remake, confirming the team is still working through bugs and performance improvements—but that additional features are planned to arrive soon. While no specific release window was provided, the developer outlined at least four new additions that will expand how the game looks, how players can experiment, and how they can progress through the world.
First up is a photo mode, giving players the tools to take curated screenshots from Gothic Remake’s updated presentation. Alkimia also confirmed plans to bring back the “Marvin Mode” concept from the original experience, including a way to enable a code console for cheats and testing features. On top of that, the studio teased a mode designed to support an alternative progression path, highlighting it as especially interesting compared to the other announced additions. Finally, the roadmap includes modding tools in the form of a mod kit, aimed at supporting community-created content.
At the moment, the team hasn’t shared when these updates will be delivered to Gothic Remake. Alkimia did, however, thank players for their reception of the production so far, signaling that the next content step will come after the current focus on stability and optimization wraps up.
