Frosinone vs Como: Serie A Preview, Team News and How to Watch
Como will take their early-season momentum to the Stadio Benito Stirpe on 20 September, with Frosinone hosting Cesc Fabregas’s in-form side in a Serie A match scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. in the United States.
The visitors arrive third in the league after taking 10 points from their first four Serie A fixtures, while Frosinone are seventh following a less settled opening run. The match will be available in the United States on Paramount+ and Peacock.
Como carry European confidence into Frosinone
Fabregas’s team have made a striking start across domestic and continental competition. Como marked their first Champions League appearance with a 4-1 victory against RB Leipzig, adding further weight to an encouraging opening month.
They followed that European result by defeating Parma 2-1 in their latest league outing. Nico Paz was again central to their creative play and Jacobo Ramon scored in the win.
Como have collected four victories in five matches in all competitions, with their only points dropped coming from a 1-1 draw at Udinese on the opening weekend. Since then, they have won away to Napoli, 2-1, and Genoa, 4-1, as well as beating Leipzig and Parma. Their five-game return is 12 goals scored and four conceded.
Jayden Addai is the only reported injury absence for Como. Robert Sanchez is expected to start in goal, behind a defence of Kaiki, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Ramon and Yan Couto. Lucas Da Cunha, Martin Baturina, Paz, Maximo Perrone, Assane Diao and Moise Kean are also projected to feature.
Frosinone seek greater consistency
Massimiliano Alvini’s side drew 1-1 with Genoa in their most recent Serie A game. That followed league wins over Venezia, 3-2, and Fiorentina, 3-0, results which underlined Frosinone’s ability to trouble strong opponents at the Stirpe.
However, their last five matches have produced two wins, one draw and two defeats. They lost 1-0 to Juventus and were beaten by Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia after a 1-1 result. Across that sequence, Frosinone scored eight times and allowed six goals.
Florian Grillitsch and Aleksa Terzic are unavailable through injury. Lorenzo Palmisani is in line to start in goal, with Anthony Oyono, Giorgio Cittadini, Gabriele Calvani and Gabriele Bracaglia expected across the back line. Giacomo Calo, Patrizio Masini, Romano Schmid, Giorgi Kvernadze, Fares Ghedjemis and Antonio Raimondo complete the projected XI.

The clubs last met in February 2023, when Como won 2-0 in Serie B. Frosinone have won three of the last five recorded encounters, with Como taking the other two victories. Those matches were played in Serie B or the Coppa Italia.
Sunday’s fixture gives Frosinone an opportunity to close on the leading group at home, while Como can reinforce their position near the top after a start that has already included major domestic results and a statement Champions League win.
