Disney+ Plans and Pricing (July 2026): Ads, Ad-Free, and Bundle Options
As of July 2026, Disney+ is available as two separate standalone streaming options: one tier that includes advertisements and another that’s ad-free. On top of that, the platform has leaned heavily into partner bundles, stacking Disney+ alongside other streamers into combined subscriptions. Below, we break down the current pricing structure, what’s available in each plan type, and how the “Extra Member” feature works—plus what you need to know if you’re aiming for 4K playback.
Checklists
As of July 2026, Disney+ offers two standalone streaming plans: one with ads and one ad-free. The service has also released a number of bundled offers with other streaming platforms, which are detailed below.

Standalone Disney+ Plans
Disney+ debuted at $6.99 per month, but it has raised that rate three separate times over the last three years, including the latest hike. The good news is that cancellations are straightforward, and you can end your Disney+ subscription whenever you want.
Does Disney+ Have a Free Trial?
No—Disney+ originally launched with a seven-day free trial back in 2019, but that trial was removed in 2020. Hulu + Live TV, however, includes Disney+ and does offer a three-day free trial. If your goal is to test the service before committing, that’s currently the most practical option for trying Disney+ alongside other content.
Disney+ Bundle Options
The first Disney+ bundle was announced before the service even went live, leveraging Disney Streaming’s ownership and operation of Disney+, Hulu, and—at the time—ESPN+. In 2024, Disney+ introduced a joint bundle with HBO Max. More recently, ESPN launched its direct-to-consumer streaming service, ESPN Unlimited, and Disney+ followed with additional bundle offerings and limited-time discounts intended to keep the lineup competitive. The earlier Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ package has since evolved: it now includes ESPN Select for both new and existing subscribers, with an upgrade path to ESPN Unlimited.
Just like with standalone Disney+ plans, each bundle comes in two versions: Basic and Premium. Beyond ad availability, the Premium tier also includes downloads. Here’s the complete breakdown of Disney+ bundles, as described in the guide.
How to Add an Extra Member to Your Disney+ Plan
When Disney+ tightened access by limiting users to a single “Household,” it also introduced an “Extra Member” add-on. For $6.99, you can attach another “Household” to your Disney+ plan, which functions like a separate streaming profile that can play on one device at a time. “Extra Members” are only available with standalone Disney+ subscriptions and the Disney+ with Hulu bundle. That limitation matters if you’re sharing with people outside your own network, because friends and family won’t be able to use an Extra Member to jump into your HBO Max or ESPN Unlimited bundle.
To add an Extra Member to your Disney+ account, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Disney+ account
- Move your cursor over your Profile, then click on “Account”
- Go to the “Plans & Billing” area
- Choose “Invite an Extra Member”
- Review the terms and the changes to your plan, then select Continue
- Enter the email address for the person you want to add
- Select whether you want to create a new profile or use an existing one
- Confirm with “Got it!” to send the invite
Which Disney+ Plans Offer 4K?
If you’re trying to watch Disney+ at 4K resolution, the situation is simple: every currently available plan supports 4K. That includes both Basic and Premium standalone tiers, as well as the bundled options. However, the 4K promise doesn’t automatically apply to everything that comes inside a bundle. The HBO Max bundles, specifically, include either a basic or standard HBO Max plan—and those tiers do not provide 4K streaming for HBO Max content. If you want HBO Max material in the highest definition while watching through this ecosystem, you’ll need to buy a premium plan separately.
