Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Guide: Where to Find Sex Scenes and Locations

In Cyberpunk 2077, sex and romance aren’t mutually exclusive—so if you want the relationship side for the emotional beats, you can also pursue more physical encounters when the game gives you openings. This guide walks through when and where you can hook up, what changed with the Cyberpunk 2.0 update (including extra messages during romance playthroughs), and the full set of romance paths available depending on your V’s body type.

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance: Quick Checklist

Use the sections below to find the romance route you want, understand how the newer text-message flow works in Cyberpunk 2.0, and track down both full romance options and purely sexual alternatives.

Cyberpunk 2.0 Romance Changes

With the Cyberpunk 2.0 update, romantic partners can reach out with additional text messages during your run. If you’re following older romance expectations, those extra check-ins mean the relationship can feel more active between major story beats.

Cyberpunk 2077 All Romance Options

Here’s the overview of who you can pursue and when you typically meet them. For deeper details (requirements, timing, and the full path), jump into each character’s dedicated romance guide.

Cyberpunk Romance Choice: Who’s got your love?

Night City is full of distractions, but if you’re after a full romance, start with the complete routes for Judy, Panam, Kerry, and River. There’s also a separate guide for going on a date with Meredith.

Night City also provides several ways for V to pursue purely sexual relationships. These encounters are different from the full, character-driven romances tied to the four main options above—there’s no “true romance” structure in the way those character arcs work.

Sexual Encounters: What You Can and Can’t Use

First, a key clarification: if you’re wondering about how to watch BDs (the erotic ones), V can’t use them. You can purchase erotic Braindances from sex shops and sometimes find them around Night City, but the item description includes a compatibility note indicating it doesn’t work for V. When you pick them up, they’ll appear in your inventory as junk—so it’s usually better to hold onto your credits for something else.

Paying for Services: Sex Workers and Joytoys

Even though V can’t watch those erotic BDs, you can still pay sex workers (Joytoys) for their services. The cost is $100, and once you pay, you’ll receive a sex scene that varies depending on which Joytoy you choose.

  • The first two Joytoys you’ll run into are on Jig-Jig Street in Westbrook.
  • Their positions are shown on the map using a lips symbol.

The first one you encounter is this person:

Then, further down Jig-Jig Street, across from a sex shop, you’ll find this person:

A Date with Meredith Stout

Meredith Stout isn’t presented as a “true” romance character, but you can still hook up with her if you make the right choices during her related mission. Specifically, you need to side with her in the mission The Pickup.

How to Trigger the Meredith Hookup

  1. Decide to meet Meredith Stout before you go to meet the Maelstrom gang.
  2. Don’t tell the Maelstrom about Militech’s plans.
  3. After you get the spider drone and defeat the Maelstrom gang, leave the warehouse and talk to Meredith.
  4. When you talk to her, she’ll hint that she may have a use for you later.

Once Act 2 begins, you’ll eventually receive a message from Meredith after many in-game hours pass. The message will only indicate that, officially, you don’t know each other. Even so, you’ll still get the chance to flirt and respond to the text.

No matter whether V is male or female, Meredith will immediately send you the coordinates for a room at the No-Tell Motel—where you met Dex at the end of Act 1—and she’ll start the side mission Venus in Furs.

Where to Go at the No-Tell Motel

  1. Travel to the coordinates Meredith sends you.
  2. Enter through the back gate.
  3. Go down the hallway on the first floor.
  4. Head to the only unlocked room on the right.

Meredith will be waiting there. You’ll be able to initiate a one-night stand, but you won’t be able to contact her again for repeated encounters.

After the encounter ends, check the bed for a very powerful iconic blunt weapon: a dildo named Sir John Phallustiff. It can deal a surprisingly high amount of damage and can be upgraded.

How Romantic Hangouts Work

The mercenary life is isolating, and Night City doesn’t exactly make it easy to feel close to anyone. The good news is that, for V, that loneliness can be eased: you can invite your romance partner—Panam, Judy, River, or Kerry—to any of the Night City apartments you’ve already purchased as many times as you want.
