Claim GOG’s Freebie Silence Before July 10—Keep It Forever
GOG is letting PC players claim Silence for free and keep it permanently until July 10, as part of the storefront’s ongoing summer giveaways.
Silence Is Free-to-Keep on GOG Right Now
- Silence is available to claim on GOG until July 10 at 06:00 AM PDT.
Silence is a point-and-click puzzle adventure developed by Daedalic Entertainment. The game earned recognition at the 2016 German Game Developer Award, winning Best Graphics, Best Story, and Best Sound. Gameplay centers on exploring scenes and solving puzzles while following a cinematic, in-depth narrative.
On Steam, Silence has been available since launch and currently sits at an 82% overall “positive” review score. GOG is currently offering a 100% discount, but you’ll need to claim it before the promotion ends on July 10 at 06:00 AM PDT.
Free Game Giveaways and What’s Still Coming
GOG’s earlier free-to-keep offer for this period was Nexus – The Jupiter Incident, which has now wrapped up. That title is a spaceship management and combat simulation game, often discussed as one of the strongest real-time tactics sci-fi experiences. Even though the Nexus – The Jupiter Incident promotion is over, GOG has already swapped in Silence as the current free-to-keep option.
Silence Gameplay Features
- 10 to 12 hours of gameplay
- A fully voice-acted cast and a deeper narrative experience
- Point-and-click interaction paired with puzzle-solving
- Three playable characters, including a pet
Like many classic, hand-crafted point-and-click adventures, Silence presents puzzles that feel as though you’re studying a living piece of artwork—something you have to look at closely and decode. If you’re new to the genre, optional assist features can help guide you through tougher moments, so you can still experience the story even if you want a lighter approach to solving.
Despite being close to a decade old, Silence still holds up visually and mechanically, keeping it in the “plays like it matters” category for players who enjoy modern takes on classic puzzle design.
There’s also extra incentive for fans of Daedalic’s earlier work: Silence is set in the same universe as The Whispered World. That makes it effectively a continuation of the earlier game. For players who aren’t taking the GOG freebie, both Silence and The Whispered World are discounted by 90% on Steam, but that Steam sale runs only until July 9.

Beyond GOG, PC players can also track other current promotions across storefronts. The ongoing Epic Games Store promotion includes I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream and River City Girls 2. On Steam, more official free-to-keep offers are still expected, and there are at least two games listed as being scheduled for delisting soon—meaning players who claim them before they disappear should be able to keep them afterward: The Lonely Helmet and Glitched Out.
Don’t miss a single July 2026 free game given away on Steam, Amazon Prime Gaming, Epic Games Store, Game Pass, and PS Plus.
