Black Ops 7 Zombies: Unlock Kowakujo Gacha Machine and Every Charm Effect

Kowakujo has a Gacha Machine you can unlock by triggering a fissure in the Kitchens, then boosting your survivability with a cherry blossom tree. Once you’ve overcharged your health, you can reach the machine, follow a chain of golden orbs across nine spawns, and finally claim a Charm that changes your run.

In Cursed Mode for Black Ops 7 Zombies, you’ll also be collecting multiple Relics, with six total to track down. This guide breaks down the Gacha Machine side easter egg step by step and explains what each Charm does so you can plan around them for higher rounds.

Quick facts: Gacha Machine unlock + rewards

  • You must wait for a fissure to spawn in the Kitchens.
  • Locate a cherry blossom tree (Tenshu Entrance, Training Area, or Staging Area) and melee it three times to start glowing.
  • Spending time in the tree overcharges your health (aim for about 300 HP).
  • With overcharged health and a Kitchens fissure active, the Gacha Machine appears in the east corner of the Kitchens.
  • Melee the Gacha Machine to make a golden orb drop, then follow it across nine spawns.
  • If your overcharge runs out, the orb despawns.
  • After collecting all nine golden orbs, interact with the Gacha Machine to get a Charm placed on your weapon.
  • You can buy a randomized Charm for 500 Essence each Round.

How to Spawn the Gacha Machine in Kowakujo

Start by waiting for a fissure to appear in the Kitchens. These lava cracks open up at random and coat part of the map in ash, which damages you the longer you stay inside.

When a fissure is active, you need to find a cherry blossom tree. Trees can show up in three spots: the Tenshu Entrance, the Training Area, and the Staging Area.

Once you locate a cherry blossom tree, melee it three times. After the third hit, the tree should begin to glow, and your health will start to overcharge the longer you remain in the tree—so take time to build up as much extra health as possible, ideally around 300 HP.

Now combine both conditions: you need your health overcharged and a fissure present in the Kitchens. With that setup, a Gacha Machine will appear in the east corner of the Kitchens.

Go ahead and melee the Gacha Machine. A golden orb will drop, and your job is to follow that orb as it moves through nine separate spawns.

There’s one big failure condition here: if you lose your overcharged health, the golden orb will despawn. Before attempting the nine-spawn run, make sure you’re fully topped up and can maintain the overcharge long enough to complete it.

After you’ve collected all nine golden orbs, return to the Gacha Machine and interact with it. It will drop a Charm that you can pick up, and that Charm will be placed on your weapon.

From there, you can purchase a randomized Charm for 500 Essence every Round, letting you roll additional effects as you push deeper into Cursed Mode.

All Gacha Machine Charms & Effects in Kowakujo

You can obtain five different Charms from the Gacha Machine, but their full effects aren’t fully confirmed at the moment. Some testing has been done, though it’s possible not everything has been fully discovered yet.

One Charm-related effect involves zombie drops: when zombies are killed, they now drop fish. You can then interact with those fish to overheal, giving you another way to sustain yourself mid-round.

Another effect concerns weapon upgrades. Picking up a Charm removes the Pack-a-Punch upgrade from your currently equipped gun, so you’ll likely need to reapply Pack-a-Punch afterward to restore your firepower.

Kowakujo also includes a set of other easter eggs you can pursue. If you’re collecting secrets while you’re here, those include the main easter egg, plus several themed side activities.
