AC Milan Target January Loan Deal for Real Madrid Forward Endrick
AC Milan are working towards a January loan for Real Madrid forward Endrick, with the Brazilian’s limited first-team involvement making a temporary move increasingly likely if his situation does not change before the winter window.
Why Milan see an opening
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Player | Endrick |
| Current club | Real Madrid |
| Proposed move | January loan to Milan |
| Madrid transfer investment | Approximately €47.5 million |
| Reported net salary | €2.5 million per year, plus bonuses |
| Club minutes this season | Four minutes, against Elche in mid-September |
| Alexis Saelemaekers absence | Expected to be around four months |
Endrick has struggled to break into a Madrid attack containing Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham. Rodrygo’s expected return from injury could further reduce opportunities for the 19-year-old, who has played only four minutes at club level since appearing against Elche in September.
The recent international break gave him match exposure with Brazil in friendlies against Australia and India, but regular playing time is important to his position with the national team. Without a clearer route into Madrid’s side, a move away in January is becoming a serious possibility.
Milan have received encouraging indications from the player’s representatives and believe their relationship with Roc Nation, Endrick’s agency, could help them in negotiations. Club owner Gerry Cardinale has professional links with the agency through RedBird, providing Milan with a potentially useful advantage should Madrid permit a loan.
The proposed financial package is considered achievable for the Rossoneri. Endrick’s reported €2.5 million net annual pay, excluding bonuses, is viewed as compatible with Milan’s salary structure.
Need for attacking cover at San Siro
Milan’s interest is not solely based on Endrick’s standing as one of Brazil’s leading young forwards. Alexis Saelemaekers is expected to miss four months with a long-term injury, leaving Ruben Amorim with fewer options across the attacking positions during the second half of the campaign.
Endrick’s ability to operate in more than one role in the final third would offer Milan added depth while they compete on several fronts. The player is also understood to be interested in the prospect of Serie A after periods in Brazil, Spain and France.
Roma and Aston Villa are also monitoring the situation. Gian Piero Gasperini is reportedly interested in bringing Endrick to the Italian capital, while Villa have been linked with the forward as they assess attacking options.
Madrid’s terms remain decisive
Real Madrid paid around €47.5 million to sign Endrick from Palmeiras in late 2022 and will want any agreement to protect both his value and his long-term development. A straightforward short-term loan is the immediate possibility, although the two clubs could discuss a broader formula.
Milan and Madrid have previously used flexible arrangements, most notably in Brahim Diaz’s move to Italy, which involved successive loans alongside buy-back and counter-buy-back provisions. Whether Endrick’s potential switch requires similar clauses will depend on Madrid’s willingness to approve his departure and the terms they set for January.
