How to Find All 156 Gudetama in Hello Kitty Island Adventures

In Hello Kitty Island Adventures, Gudetama are the tiny critters you can snap with your in-game camera for rewards like fresh clothing, comic pages, and even upgrades for the Egg Pan station. There are 156 Gudetama in total, and this checklist-style walkthrough breaks down how to unlock the hunt and where to find every one by region.

Task Search: How to Start Your Gudetama Collection

Getting your first Gudetama involves more than just wandering around with your camera. You’ll need to unlock the quest called Gudetama Snap. To do that, give Pochacco his welcome gift from My Melody.

After the gift is delivered, Pochacco will hand you a camera. He’ll then ask you to take a photo of the Gudetama—described as a small, bird-like creature inside an egg that’s standing behind him. If you’re collecting by region, you’ll also earn an achievement as you finish each area’s set.

Checklists: Rewards and How to Claim Them

Once you’ve collected your first twelve Gudetama, rewards begin to roll in based on your progress. In general, you’ll receive a new reward for every additional set of twelve Gudetama you add to your collection. To claim what you’ve earned, interact with the Gudetama board located just past the cluster of shops in Seaside Resort.

All Seaside Resort Gudetama Locations

Seaside Resort Gudetama 1

The very first Gudetama appears right behind Pochacco immediately after he gives you the camera. Equip your camera and snap a photo of the tiny creature.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 2

After turning in the first Gudetama to Pochacco, Hello Kitty will point you toward the next one. Look behind the sign in front of her cafe.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 3

If you start at the Resort Gate, travel south to the beach edge, then head west. You’ll find this Gudetama sitting on a small rock between the resort beaches.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 4

From the previous location, go straight west right away. The Gudetama is lounging on a beach towel under an umbrella—furthest to the left among the group.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 5

This Gudetama is higher up and takes some climbing. Begin at the Bridge to Cozy Islands, then climb the hill on your left. You’ll spot two palm trees with a large rock formation behind them. Get onto the rocks, and once your stamina refills, climb the rocky wall on the left. If you struggle, try jumping onto the wall from the rocks, then jump up toward the cliff right as stamina is about to run out to gain extra height. At the far left edge of the cliff, the Gudetama rests on a flower.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 6

Above the path leading toward Cozy Island’s bridge, there’s another Gudetama on a rope bridge. Use either wooden ladder on the rope bridge’s sides to reach it; the Gudetama hangs upside down in the center.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 7

Once you’ve collected the Rope Bridge Gudetama, head down the right side of the bridge. Go east to find another Gudetama floating in front of the waterfall.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 8

This one is outside your My Melody home, positioned between your home and Badtz-maru’s comic shop. It’s lounging in a bowl of food perched on top of a pole.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 9

When you start exploring beyond Seaside Resort’s busier areas, look for a Gudetama lounging on a small islet to the northwest of Tuxedosam’s shop.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 10

From the Hopscotch Islands mailbox, go south past the ruins entrance. You’ll find a sneaky Gudetama lounging on a rock.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 11

Return to the Hopscotch Islands mailbox, but this time travel east along the beach. The next Gudetama is hidden among palm trees in a bowl, slightly left of the Small Island Shuffle race.

Seaside Resort Gudetama 12

For the last Gudetama in Seaside Resort, go north from the Hopscotch Islands mailbox. You’ll reach two small islands. On the leftmost island, there’s a Gudetama sitting out in the open.

All Spooky Swamp Gudetama Locations

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 1

Find this Gudetama right outside the Nature Preserve, north of its waypoint. Climb above the entrance to reach it.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 2

After visiting the Nature Preserve, head west to the road fork where you found the previous Gudetama. From there, locate the small swamp area; the target is on the northern side of the swamp, perched on a rock near lily pads.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 3

Behind the Nature Preserve is a river running directly under the maze. On the far right side of that river, you’ll find another Gudetama on the southern shore, lounging inside an avocado.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 4

The next Gudetama sits at the northeast end of the maze. You don’t need to enter the maze itself—stay along the northern edge from outside to reach the Gudetama attached to the maze wall.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 5

From the Spooky Maze Gudetama, head northwest to Kuromi’s Haunted House. The Gudetama is in the small pond west of the Haunted House, inside a bowl.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 6

Near the Haunted House, look for a wooden rope bridge just northwest. On the island west of the bridge, you’ll find a cleverly hidden Gudetama under a blanket.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 7

On the north side of the Spooky Swamp is the Ghost Tour section. Start at the mailbox and run all the way to the east side. There’s an overturned log leading to a Gudetama inside a tree stump.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 8

After collecting the previous Gudetama, head south and walk down the waterfall just beneath the Ghost Tour ride. At the base is a withered tree with another Gudetama at its base.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 9

Just left of the Spooky Swamp mailbox (where you finish Kuromi’s introductory quest) is the next Gudetama near a gravestone.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 10

The final three Gudetama for this area are outside the dark cliff boundaries, including one along the planked beach path on the western edge. Start at the Resort Gate mailbox, follow the planked path until it dips underwater, and then move to the other side. The Gudetama is near a palm tree.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 11

Further north, the planked path crosses water and becomes a bridge. As soon as you cross, look to the right for another Gudetama on a green section of cliff.

Spooky Swamp Gudetama 12

The last Spooky Swamp Gudetama is at the end of the planked path along the northern beach. Run along the shoreline to spot it lounging on a rock.

All Gemstone Mountain Gudetama Locations

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 1

The first Gudetama is south of Gemstone Town and its mailbox. Continue further south past a small pond to find the Gudetama on a small elevated cliff.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 2

Head west from Gudetama 1, beyond the false town. You’ll reach a bridge over two elevated areas. Directly underneath that bridge sits a Gudetama.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 3

Further west is the next Gudetama, but you’ll need to climb up and reach the bridge to take its photo. There’s a ladder to the north leading to higher ground—climb it, then go south to find the bridge and the Gudetama.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 4

After taking Gudetama 3, follow the bridge west until the planked path ends. Step a few paces left and drop off the cliff. The Gudetama is on a small rocky platform a few feet below where you fell.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 5

Return to the Gemstone Town mailbox, then head west toward two visitor houses. In front of the leftmost house entrance, a Gudetama lies on a rock.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 6

After leaving Pompompurin’s Ice Cream Shop, climb the cliff on the western side. If you go south from where you climbed, the Gudetama is hidden among a cluster of trees and rocks, sitting in a bowl.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 7 and 8

From the Oasis mailbox, follow the path southwest. Once you climb down the ladder, go left along the wall to find the first Gudetama. Then climb the wall behind it for the next one. The second is partially blocked by a tree’s leaves on the left, so you may need to position your camera carefully to get the shot.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 9

From the Oasis mailbox, go northwest along the path until you reach a ladder. Don’t climb it—instead, turn and walk southwest to find the Gudetama waiting on top of a larger rock that you can climb.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 10

Climb the ladder you skipped to collect Gudetama 10, then climb the next ladder beyond that. Follow the cliff wall on your right to locate the next Gudetama.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 11

From where you collected the previous Gudetama, head northeast until you reach the body of water on the northeast side of the map. The Gudetama is inside an avocado near the wall.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 12

Even if you haven’t unlocked Icy Peaks yet, you can still reach this one by teleporting to the Icy Peaks Entrance mailbox. Run along the right wall where it’s lounging against the cliff.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 13

Also starting from the Icy Peaks Entrance, drop down the cliff and swim southwest. When you reach the far end of the lake, jump out and drop down one more level to find the Gudetama.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 14

Run south until you drop down a large cliff. Alternatively, start at the Gemstone Town mailbox and move north to the red and yellow buildings, where the Gudetama is on the northeast side of the area.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 15

From Gemstone Town’s mailbox, take the northeast route out of town until it stops at a body of water. You’ll need to climb the large rock formation on your right, and having a golden apple or two can make it easier. If you don’t have them, climb as high as you can to find a spot you can stand on, then jump and climb again. Once your stamina bar is full, jump one last time to the right before stamina runs out to land on the Gudetama.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 16

From the High Rock where you grabbed Gudetama 15, use your balloon to glide to the northwest island. Land there to photograph another Gudetama.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 17

Starting at Gemstone Town’s mailbox, run straight down until you reach the planked beach path. Going west from there leads you to a Gudetama perched on top of a rock.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 18

From Gemstone Town again, take the northwest path out until you reach the Mountainside Rise race. Just left of the race start point is another Gudetama on top of a rock.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 19

This Gudetama blends into palm trees at the very northwest edge of Gemstone Mountain. Start at the Oasis mailbox and run north into the northwestern portion of the region. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see a small cluster of palm trees. Within that cluster is a group of rocks; the Gudetama is inside a bowl on the northeast side of those rocks, peeking under the fronds.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 20

After photographing the palm cluster Gudetama, run straight down to reach the large rock formation. Circle around the rock to the far side to find the next Gudetama.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 21

The last four Gudetama are found inside the Crystal Caves area of the Gemstone Mountains. Even though they’re still counted as Gemstone Gudetama, it’s recommended to save Crystal Caves for last after collecting the earlier twenty. To begin, fast travel to Gemstone Corral, go east, and take the ladder down. Follow the dirt path marked by minecart rails to reach the Crystal Caves entrance.

Inside, follow the left path and enter the door with purple light. You can’t open your map in this room. You’ll need to make a small jump to reach the Gudetama on the left side of the doorway. You can do it without stamina upgrades by jumping and gliding to the wall, then quickly jumping up again. The Gudetama sits on a purple crystal behind a treasure chest labeled Woodblocks.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 22

Go back into the previous room and head further south into the space with orange light. The area is large, but the Gudetama is in the center, inside a rock formation that looks like an island surrounded by water and is not connected to the surrounding area. Photograph the Gudetama inside the minecart.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 23

Instead of returning to the first room, follow the planked path directly below where you found Gudetama 22. It leads west into a room with pink crystals. The entrance has pink light to show you’re heading the right way. As soon as you enter, run left to find the Gudetama resting on a rock.

Gemstone Mountain Gudetama 24

Return to the planked path at the entrance of the pink-crystal room you’re in. Follow the planked path to the end and enter the next room, which is another pink-crystal chamber. You can climb the wall next to the door you entered from; if your stamina is running low, pause on the nearby rock and crystal structures to regain it, then continue climbing. You’ll reach a higher floor with another doorway. Instead of going inside, run left to find the final Gudetama on top of a rock structure.

All Mt. Hothead Gudetama Locations

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 1

Start at Mt. Hothead’s Hot Springs mailbox. Run southeast along the springs until you reach open water. Swim in that same direction until you find a large rock in the water; the Gudetama sits on top of it.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 2

From the lone rock where you found the previous Gudetama, keep swimming south to reach the nearby beach. On the sand, there are two large rocks and a smaller one at the bottom of a column. The Gudetama is lounging on that small rock.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 3

Before leaving, travel south to a rocky peninsula, starting from where Gudetama 2 was located. You’ll find another Gudetama right at the peninsula’s edge.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 4

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 4 is on top of the waterfalls to the left of the Hot Springs mailbox. Reach it by approaching from the south side of the waterfalls, climbing up, and getting to the small landmass between them.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 5

South of the waterfalls is the volcano itself, with lava flowing downward. Climb back down from the waterfall and run along the volcano walls until you reach the entrance to Red Hot Rampage. The Gudetama is on top of the entrance’s upper right section.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 6 and 7

From the entrance of Red Hot Rampage, run to the right and use your balloon to glide down to the small wooden bridge. From there, run south along the bridge: one Gudetama is on the right side as soon as the bridge ends, and the other is lying against a rock slightly southwest of it.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 8

Return to the Mt. Hothead mailbox and look for this Gudetama resting on top of a plant behind it, nestled among foliage.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 9

From the same mailbox, run south until you reach the entrance to Mount Hothead—but don’t go down yet. Instead, go right to the grassy portion and glide down to find another Gudetama sitting on top of a plant.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 10

Just to the left of the Mt. Hothead mailbox is the entrance to Red Hot Ruins. Head south from that entrance to find a Gudetama pressed against a rock.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 11

Continue along the rocky path west of Red Hot Ruins. Further down, you’ll find another entrance leading into Lava Caves. The Gudetama is on the left side of that entrance.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 12

Shortly after Gudetama 11, glide down the cliff to the south. You’ll reach a visitor house; on the right side of the house, a Gudetama is lounging in the water.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 13

To access the next set, you must complete Enraging Ruins, which unlocks Red Hot Ruins and the upper level of Mt. Hothead. Once done, fast travel to the Upper Ruins Entrance and run slightly left to find another Gudetama.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 14

Stand directly on the previous mailbox, jump off the southern cliff, and glide using balloons while staying near the left side. During your descent, you’ll spot a Gudetama on top of a rock that you can land on and photograph.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 15

Now run along the path left of where you found Gudetama 13. Jump down and glide along the magma wall, being careful not to touch the edge. Above one of the doors below is another Gudetama.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 16

One more Gudetama requires starting from the Upper Ruins. This time, run east and glide down until you reach a pair of doors. Just below those doors is another Gudetama inside one of the floor torches.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 17

The next two require reaching the Caldera area of Mt. Hothead, so you’ll need the quest Fire Up The Volcano. Gudetama 17 is to the right of the Caldera mailbox, sitting on top of the Lava Caves entrance.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 18

Still outside the Lava Caves entrance, run directly south across the stone path over the lava. At the southern end of the small rocky island, you’ll find another Gudetama.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 19

The last Gudetama in Mt. Hothead are located in the Lava Caves portion. Start inside the entrance where you found Gudetama 17. In the caves, cross the collapsing stone bridge. The mini-map and world map may point you in opposite directions here, so rely on your in-game position for navigation. To your left is a hill rising upward—don’t go up that way. Instead, climb the wall on the southwest side to find the Gudetama. You may need a stamina apple or two to make it to the top.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 20

After snapping Gudetama 19, take the opposite path from the one you used to cross the stone bridge. There’s a climbable rock wall to the north with a very small lava pool at the top. Run past the lava pool and ascend another hill to reach the 20th Gudetama.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 21

Keep going past the climbed rock wall and ride the minecart into the next area. There’s a lava river on your left; follow the edge until you can jump and glide to a small rock island south. Then jump and glide to a wall with lava on your left, climb to the top, and finally climb one more left-hand wall to locate the Gudetama.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 22

Return to the minecart cave side and follow the path until it ends at an entrance to the next cave section against the rightmost wall. Immediately inside, you’ll find Gudetama 22 on top of a barrel.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 23

There’s another collapsing stone path to jump across to the west. Hop along the path until it splits, then take the stone path to the north. Use the minecart to reach the other side, where the next Gudetama is at the bottom of the hill, dangling off a crate.

Mt. Hothead Gudetama 24

After finding #23, move to the bottom of the hill and look for a large cave entrance. Go inside, then jump down and glide to reach the Gudetama sitting on a cliff edge.

All Rainbow Reef Gudetama Locations

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 1

You can find the first Gudetama of Rainbow Reef right after leaving Hangyodon’s Comedy Club. Swim a little south and look left for a Gudetama resting on a column.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 2

From the Comedy Club mailbox, swim southeast while staying low to the reef floor. After a short distance, you’ll encounter a blocked door. The Gudetama is directly on top of the entrance.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 3

To the east of the Comedy Club, there’s a planked beach path on land. Part of the path splits into two as it dips underwater. The northern submerged section has a Gudetama inside a piece of coral that you reach by swimming down and moving along the reef wall.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 4

Further along that planked path, you’ll see a small pier jutting out. Dive below the pier to find Reef Cabin number four and a Gudetama lounging near its signpost.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 5

Fast travel to the Kelp Maze, then swim through the kelp on your right to reach a small path. Follow it to locate another Gudetama.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 6

From Gudetama 5’s spot, swim northeast to a small island slightly left of the earlier planked beach path. The sixth Gudetama is on the seafloor left of that island, near its southern end.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 7

Gemstone Mountain has a small pier on its southern side. Dive from that pier and swim right. The Gudetama is at the base of a stone pillar, sitting on top of coral.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 8

From the same pier, dive straight south to find another Gudetama. If you’re in the Kelp Forest, you can also start from the mailbox and swim northwest.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 9

Staying around Gemstone Mountain, find a rocky peninsula on its southwest side (where you found a previous Gudetama). On your map, you’ll see a rock formation next to a sunken ship. Climb onto the rock from its southern point, approach the Gudetama, and take the picture.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 10

To reach this one, either dive off the rock formation used for #9 and swim north, or swim east of the rocky peninsula. Either route takes you toward the avocado holding your Gudetama.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 11

Before leaving Gemstone Mountain’s rocky peninsula for good, there’s one more Gudetama on the left side. Dive down a short distance to find it nestled onto a rock.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 12

The next cluster is near the Sunken Ship. Start by teleporting to the Sunken Ship’s mailbox, where you’ll find a Gudetama against the left side of the nearby reef wall.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 13

Another Gudetama sits on the mast of the Sunken Ship. Swim along the mast to find it tucked below the ship’s sail.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 14

Like Gemstone Mountain, Mt. Hothead has a pier on its southern side. Run to the pier edge, dive straight down, and find the Gudetama at its base.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 15

Return to the Ghost Ship, then swim southwest to a rock formation protruding from the water. Swim to the base of that formation and look near its right side for the Gudetama.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 16

Next to Seaside Resort’s Moon Isle is a deep trench you can swim down to the bottom of. Swim toward the bottom while staying near the left wall. Between two pieces of coral, against the reef wall, is another Gudetama.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 17

This Gudetama is closest to the Hopscotch Islands. Fast travel there, run east, and dive once you reach the edge of the easternmost island. As soon as you start diving, you’ll run into the next Gudetama.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 18

From the same island used for #17, swim off its northern shore while staying close to the sea floor. During your swim downward, you can photograph the Gudetama on an incline.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 19

Start from the Cozy Islands mailbox. Run to the westernmost island and dive down. You’ll find two underwater bridges, and the Gudetama will be just to the right of the southernmost bridge.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 20

From the Cozy Islands mailbox, run north before diving. A Gudetama is carefully placed between two moss-covered rocks.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 21

After collecting Gudetama 20, swim east toward the Kelp Maze. Look for rock formations shaped like a backward L—the two formations you want form that shape. Swim along the bottom of the Kelp Maze floor (keeping the rock formation to your south) to find the next Gudetama among the kelp.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 22

Another Gudetama sits on top of the rock formation you reach by climbing up from the northern point of the L-shaped structure. Walk along the rock to locate the next Gudetama.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 23

The final two Gudetama in Rainbow Reef can be reached reliably from the Comedy Club. Fast travel there, then swim southwest to the Underpass Paddle race. You can photograph the Gudetama near the race start point.

Rainbow Reef Gudetama 24

Finally, swim a short distance north to a pair of moss-covered rocks. The last Gudetama is on the seafloor just to the left of those rocks.

All Icy Peak Gudetama

Icy Peak Gudetama 1

On top of Blizzard Peak, to the right of the Mailbox.

Icy Peak Gudetama 2

On the lowest ledge along the climbing route to Blizzard Peak, sitting on a stack of boxes.

Icy Peak Gudetama 3

In the Icy Caverns connecting Blizzard Peaks to Icy Peak. It’s on the barrel between boxes near the cavern entrance from the Blizzard Peak side.

Icy Peak Gudetama 4

In the Icy Caverns connecting Blizzard Peaks to Icy Peak. It’s on the ledge near the cavern entrance from the Icy Peak side.

Icy Peak Gudetama 5

In the Icy Caverns connecting Blizzard Peaks to Snow Village. On a ledge near the top, next to the waterfall.

Icy Peak Gudetama 6

Northeast of the Snow Village Lake.

Icy Peak Gudetama 7

South of the Snow Village Lake’s pier is a ledge off the mountain side where another Gudetama sits.

Icy Peak Gudetama 8

On top of the Stairway Spelunking Puzzle Entrance.

Icy Peak Gudetama 9

On the islands southeast of the Icy Inlaying Puzzle Room. Use Pompompurin or Cinnamoroll to hop between mountain peaks south of the Trust Leap Challenge Course.

Icy Peak Gudetama 10

East of the False Peak Mailbox and the Four-corners Forensics Puzzle Room, on the next mountain peak.

Icy Peak Gudetama 11

Underneath the rope on the bridge, right of the Careful Descent Challenge Course.

Icy Peak Gudetama 12

Embedded in ice on some mountain tops southwest of Snow Village and the On Edge Challenge Course. Reach it by using the Bridge, or by hopping between mountains on the west side of Snow Village’s mountain terrain.

Cloud Island Gudetama Locations

Cloud Island Gudetama 1

Once you’ve unlocked all of Cloud Island, visit every puzzle room: all five contain a Gudetama. It’s recommended to collect these first before tackling the Gudetama spread across the island itself. Start with Cloudy Construction, located on the island to the north of the Candy Cloud machine.

When you enter, pick up the purple block on your left to shape the cloud into a bridge. Activating the purple block sets up a platform you can jump onto. Cross the makeshift bridge to find the Gudetama at the end.

Cloud Island Gudetama 2

The second Gudetama is inside the Nimble Nebula puzzle room to the left of the moon-shaped pool. As soon as you enter, run to the far end of the platform without crossing any yellow bricks. The Gudetama is between the yellow bricks, on the corner of that platform.

Cloud Island Gudetama 3

Behind Cloud Cabin #4, on the island south of the Outer Cabins Mailbox, is the Stratus Shuffle puzzle room. Use the purple blocks to build platforms to reach higher levels. After jumping onto two platforms, the third Gudetama is in the far right corner of the room.

Cloud Island Gudetama 4

After exiting Stratus Shuffle, head to the southern edge. You’ll spot a smaller island with the entrance to the Cumulus Comeabout puzzle room. This time, turning on the block generates an air vent—place it on the far-left button and float up to reach the Gudetama.

Cloud Island Gudetama 5

The final puzzle-room Gudetama is on the very western edge of the Cloud Island Critter Coral, just right of the small pool. When you enter, you’ll see two square yellow block platforms. Jump onto the northernmost block platform, then jump onto the “solid” multi-colored block further north. The Gudetama sits in the center on top of the flag-shaped structure.

Cloud Island Gudetama 6

With the puzzle room Gudetamas handled, you can begin the overworld finds. The first overworld one is just outside where you found Gudetama 5. Jump to the pond on your left and you’ll see a Gudetama relaxing in the water.

Cloud Island Gudetama 7

Return to the Cloud Island Critter Coral mailbox and run toward the center with the large purple tree. Gudetama 7 is just southwest, sitting on a light blue star.

Cloud Island Gudetama 8

The next Gudetama is on the western side of the star-shaped pond, near the water’s edge.

Cloud Island Gudetama 9

Look for the ninth Gudetama near the Mailbox for the Ponds. You may need to climb to reach that mailbox if it isn’t unlocked as a fast travel point yet.

Cloud Island Gudetama 10

This one requires gliding. Start by jumping and gliding from the small gate next to the star pond. You’ll reach a small distant island, with the Gudetama on the next island you can glide to, farther to the right.

Cloud Island Gudetama 11

With the tougher Gudetama collected, fast travel to the Cloud Island Plaza mailbox. The next Gudetama is slightly right of the mailbox, inside the fountain.

Cloud Island Gudetama 12

Just outside the star bridge that leads to the cloud candy machine, there’s another Gudetama. It’s on the opposite side of the fountain from the previous one.

Cloud Island Gudetama 13

Instead of crossing the star bridge, run to the small line of clouds beneath it. An air vent will take you to another Gudetama at the very end.

Cloud Island Gudetama 14

A sneaky Gudetama is tucked at the entrance to Cloud Island, on the bottom left.

Cloud Island Gudetama 15

Once the main island Gudetamas are done, take the star bridge to the island with the cloud candy machine. At the end, turn north and you’ll find the Gudetama at the base of a large star.

Cloud Island Gudetama 16

Next to the cloud candy machine is an air vent. Take it to the next platform—right after you land, you’ll see another Gudetama.

Cloud Island Gudetama 17 and 18

Further north on the island where you landed are two more Gudetama close to each other. One is near the Cloudy Construction puzzle room, and the other is found by taking the air vent on the left up to the next platform.

Cloud Island Gudetama 19

South of the cloud candy machine is a Fwishing Well. Look nearby in a tree for another Gudetama.

Cloud Island Gudetama 20 and 21

Next, head to Outer Cloud Cabin. Near this area’s mailbox, there are two Gudetama. First, run south to find one next to a star bridge. Then run back north and find the other next to Cloud Cabin #5.

Cloud Island Gudetama 22

Behind the cabin where you found Gudetama 21 is a small chain of islands connected by air vents. Follow the route to the end and locate another Gudetama next to a tree.

Cloud Island Gudetama 23 and 24

On the southernmost islands are the remaining cloud cabins. At the southernmost point of the island—before you move into the line of smaller islands—you’ll find a Gudetama tucked between two trees. After photographing it, run to the central fountain and collect the last Gudetama on the left.

All Merry Meadows Gudetama Locations

Merry Meadows Gudetama 1

Before you grow beanstalks to reach higher sections, you can grab the first three Merry Meadows Gudetama immediately. Activate the mailbox and run up the hill to the northwest. One is hidden in an egg placed in front of the visitor house.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 2

Return to the mailbox and go east. You may spot a cheerful Gudetama lying on a rock in front of a waterfall, just before you cross a wooden bridge. Glide over and snap the photo.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 3

After Gudetama 2, cross the bridge you stopped at and run south past the farming plots. At the bottom of the farming plots—but not down the cliff—is the third Gudetama under a fence.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 4

After completing the first beanstalk, jump left and across the waterfall to find the fourth Gudetama.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 5

Run north along the path from Gudetama 4 until you reach two tree stumps. In a small flower on the right side, you’ll find the next Gudetama.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 6

There’s a waterfall on the northern side of the second level, with a small flower on the right side. If you look closely, you’ll see a Gudetama inside the flower.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 7

Climb the next beanstalk to the third level and head toward the northwest side waterfall. Once you climb up, you’ll find a Gudetama lounging in the water.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 8

Drop back down from the waterfall and run south. Just after the puzzle room is another waterfall, and at its base sits the next Gudetama.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 9

From here, take the path in front of the waterfall heading south all the way to the end. It leads to the southwest portion of the map. At the very bottom—without dropping to the first floor—there’s a tree shaped like an arch, with Gudetama 9 under it.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 10

After growing the beanstalk that leads to the Petal Puzzle, take the ramp on the left side with a doorway. Before you enter, the Gudetama is on the right side.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 11

Gudetama number eleven is placed mischievously behind the Merry Meadows creation station. Reach it by following the path on the eastern side of the Puzzle Petal. Inside, you’ll find a hollowed-out tree trunk with the Gudetama behind it. Jump behind the tree and carefully position yourself so you can photograph it.

Merry Meadows Gudetama 12

The final Gudetama is just south of the previous one near the photo opportunity. Jump into the right side of the pond to find the last Gudetama.

All Moon Gudetama Locations

Moon Gudetama 1

On the ground next to the rollercoaster wreckage, south of the Moon Base Mailbox and Twins Cozy Hideout.

Moon Gudetama 2

On a floating rock in the center of a circle of stars, south of the Space Buildings.

Moon Gudetama 3

Inside one of the cheese holes of an arch at ground level, south of the Moon Base Mailbox.

Moon Gudetama 4

In a tiny crater in front of the Planter Photo Ops Space Building.

Moon Gudetama 5

In the moat around the Tree inside the southwest Space Building.

Moon Gudetama 6

Southwest of the Lunar Leap Challenge Course at ground level, planting a slab of bacon into the Moon.

Moon Gudetama 7

North of the Lunar Leap Challenge Course on the last large floating rock where the player took a selfie of the characters in “This Tall to Ride.” The Gudetama is on the arch on the right side of the rocky platform.

Moon Gudetama 8

In the southwest area of the Moon, there’s a set of floating rocks leading up to two larger platforms. The Gudetama is on the left one, tucked away in a cubby of Moon cheese.

Moon Gudetama 9

On the large floating rock southwest of the debris where the Floating Rocks Mailbox is located. It’s in a lower section of the rock on the right side, where players can carefully float down to it.

Moon Gudetama 10

On the same rocky debris as #9: climb to the high arch on the north side of the rock and enter Camera mode. Point the lens northwest to spot an upturned Gudetama in the distance, appearing as if it crashed-landed too.

Moon Gudetama 11

One Gudetama is best caught by sitting on any of the northern Floating Rocks. A Gudetama will circle the sky like a planet, and as long as the player stays in camera mode, they can time a photo to capture the tricky Moon Gudetama.

Moon Gudetama 12

At ground level underneath the Floating Rocks Photo Ops, between two rocky Moon debris pieces, where it’s planting a flag into the Moon.

All City Town Gudetama Locations

The City Town region in Hello Kitty Island Adventures has 30 Gudetama you can photograph. You can start capturing City Town Gudetama at any time, but completing the quest “City Laze” unlocks a Gudetama sign in City Town. That sign lets you turn in your photos there without fast traveling back to Friendship Island.

It’s also worth noting that, in City Town, Gudetama may appear inside Puzzle Rooms in the Sewers.

City Town Gudetama #1

Go to the West City Rooftop fast travel mailbox, then head right until you find a climbable pipe. Climb it to reach a purple rooftop with a large fan. Use the fan to glide up and to the left onto a slightly taller purple rooftop. The Gudetama is on top of a small orange cone.

City Town Gudetama #2

This one is in the alleyway on the west side of City Town, where you can catch Dust Bun creatures and where the “Sky Scraping” Challenge Course is located. It’s in the back right corner of that alley, attached to a green and blue Dumpster.

City Town Gudetama #3

Cross the park on City Town’s western side and go down to the beach. At the western edge of the beach (near where the Sashimi Spire is docked), there’s a small sandy island. The Gudetama lounges under an umbrella on that island.

City Town Gudetama #4

Travel to the City Skyline fast travel mailbox, then glide left across the street to the western rooftops. From there, head south along a narrow blue rooftop until you reach the top of the Rainbow Tower. Drop down two levels onto the yellow ledge. The Gudetama clings to the ledge, wearing its jaunty hat.

City Town Gudetama #5

To the right of the Rainbow Tower, back at street level, head down to the end of the road where the Fog lurks. The Gudetama is on the ground peeking out of a manhole, just to the right of the “Around and About” Challenge Course.
