Release and pricing tracker
| Item | Release timing | Steam Summer Sale discount | Current price | Previous retail price |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Originally released in October 2024, Neva puts you in the shoes of Alba, a young woman traveling through a mystical world shaped around the four seasons, alongside her wolf companion. It keeps the same side-scrolling platforming structure that fans associate with Nomada Studio’s earlier hit, Gris, but it changes the tone with a simpler combat setup. Alba can slash enemies with her sword while dodging incoming attacks, and as the adventure progresses, the wolf companion continues to evolve—unlocking fresh combat options and new traversal tools along the way.
There’s also a separate Steam deal angle for players hunting for free-to-keep options: Steam users looking for cozy games can claim a key for one of five titles currently offered at no cost, though there’s a catch. (The original text doesn’t specify what that catch is.)
Neva is just $10 on Steam
Since launching last October, Neva has been priced at $19.99 on Steam. Even if a 50% markdown isn’t the largest drop you’ll see during the Steam Summer Sale, it’s still a solid deal—especially for a game that has earned strong critical attention.
At launch, Neva scored a Top Critic Average of 87 on OpenCritic, alongside a 93% recommendation rate. In a review of the game, Nick Rodriguez awarded it a 10/10, describing it as a “trim but unforgettable release” and saying “everyone should play.” His review also argued that Neva is “worth far more than the $20 Devolver Digital and Nomada Studios are asking for it.” On Steam, the game sits at a “Very Positive” overall rating with 10,150 user reviews.
Neva also became a recurring presence during the 2024/2025 awards season. At The Game Awards 2024, it was nominated for Best Independent Game, Best Art Direction, and the Games for Impact category—ultimately winning the Games for Impact award. In 2025, it won an Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement for Character Animation in a Video Game. The game also took home a BAFTA for Artistic Achievement, along with an Apple Design award and a Pégases award.
Neva’s Prologue DLC is also on sale
In February of this year, during a Sony State of Play, Nomada Studio announced that Neva would be receiving a new DLC called Neva: Prologue. The DLC focuses on Alba and Neva’s first meeting. While the story naturally takes place before the main game’s events, the DLC’s official Steam description says it’s meant to be played after finishing Neva. The reasoning is that Neva: Prologue is structured to be tougher than the base game, adding three new locations, new gameplay mechanics, and more intense boss encounters.
Neva: Prologue is also discounted in the 2026 Steam Summer Sale. With a 25% reduction, the DLC currently costs $2.24, down from its $2.99 retail price. The original text also notes that this is the first time the DLC has received a price cut since it launched in February.
