How to Fix Buppi’s Direction Problem in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
If you’ve been working through Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town, you can fix one of its most frustrating little problems: getting around when your blue pig friend can’t find his way. Buppi—a Visitor who hangs out in City Town—struggles with directions. Once you reach 5 Stars with him and unlock him as a permanent resident, you’ll be able to complete the Visitor Quest “Bright Lights”, which is designed to make the city feel far easier to navigate.

Buppi the blue pig is tied to Usahana’s circle, and he appears as a Visitor in the City Town region. After you build your relationship with him to 5 Stars, you’ll unlock him as a long-term resident and gain access to the Visitor Quest “Bright Lights”. Completing that quest helps solve Buppi’s constant confusion about where things are in town.
To begin the Quest, talk to Usahana. She’s located near the entrance to the City Town Dock. If she isn’t standing there, you’ll find her in one of two other spots: in front of the Rainbow Tower on the west side of town, or just outside the Imagination Cafe.
Help Buppi Navigate City Town
After you speak with Usahana, she explains why she’s worried. Buppi enjoys roaming around City Town, but he frequently gets turned around. She asks you to find Buppi so you can help him get back on track.
Your next step is to locate Buppi in the City Critter Park on the east side of town, near the City Critter Park Fast Travel Mailbox. When you talk to him there, he says he wants to return to the Rainbow Tower—even though the tower is positioned on the complete opposite side of City Town.
From there, you’ll need to lead Buppi back to the Rainbow Tower. You can take any route, and he’ll follow you, but the simplest option is pretty clear: head along the road across the bridge, pass the shops and the Imagination Cafe, and continue until you reach the Tower.
When you arrive, Usahana will be waiting in front of the Rainbow Tower. Talk to her, and she and Buppi will begin a walk around City Town to figure out why he keeps getting lost. Follow them as they head toward the fog at the end of the alleyway. At that point, they realize the fog is exactly what’s throwing Buppi off.
Once Buppi understands the cause, Figments appear and generate bright neon lights on several buildings around City Town. With those visual guides in place, navigation becomes much easier for him. The quest ends with Buppi excited because he can finally move around the city safely and confidently.
There’s also a practical reward beyond the story beats: completing this quest unlocks Buppi as a Companion. You’ll be able to bring him along as you walk around City Town—helping him avoid getting lost—but he doesn’t come with any special Companion Abilities.
