How to Start the “Fun with Fountains” Quest and Tour Friendship Island

“Fun with Fountains” is a City Town Visitor Quest that only opens up after you’ve met a very specific set of Friendship Island milestones with Usahana and her dog friend, Wanwa. Once it’s ready, you’ll spend the quest touring Friendship Island, snapping a couple of photos along the way, and then returning to City Town to watch Wanwa’s ideas transform the local fountains.

Key takeaways

  • Wanwa must reach 5 Stars and become a permanent resident in City Town to start the “Fun with Fountains” Quest.
  • You also need to unlock Friendship Island’s Fwishing Well by finishing the Quest “When You Fwish Upon a Fish.”
  • Usahana can be found near Rainbow Tower, with City Town Dock and outside Imagination Cafe as fallback locations if she’s not there.
  • The Friendship Island tour takes you to Seaside Resort Plaza, Chococat’s tent near the Resort Gate, and finally the Fwishing Well in the Spooky Swamp.
  • After you return to City Town, Wanwa helps transform the fountains into flowery, City Town-inspired designs as the Quest wraps up.
  • Completing the Quest also allows you to set Wanwa as a Companion, though she has no special Companion Abilities.

Checklists

When Usahana’s dog friend Wanwa reaches 5 Stars and becomes a permanent resident of Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town, you’ll be able to unlock the Quest “Fun with Fountains.” This request stands out from many other City Town Visitor Quests because it includes a special extra requirement beyond getting Wanwa moved in.

Before the fountain quest becomes available, you must unlock Friendship Island’s Fwishing Well by completing the Quest “When You Fwish Upon a Fish.”

Once you’ve met those conditions, head to find Usahana. She’s typically outside the Rainbow Tower, where City Town visitors live. If she isn’t there, check the City Town Dock or look outside the Imagination Cafe.

Tour Friendship Island With Wanwa

After you speak with Usahana, she explains that she plans to bring Wanwa along for a tour of Friendship Island.

Start by meeting Usahana and Wanwa in the Seaside Resort Plaza. Talk to them there. Wanwa enjoys the vibe of Friendship Island and asks you to take a picture of the three of you to mark the start of your adventure.

Next, go to the area next to Chococat’s tent at the Resort Gate and meet Usahana and Wanwa again. Talk to them in that spot. Wanwa loves this location just as much as the first stop, so you’ll be prompted to take another picture featuring all three of you.

Finally, make your way to the Fwishing Well in the center of the Spooky Swamp, specifically near the “Spooky Swamp” Fast Travel Mailbox. Talk to Usahana and Wanwa there. Wanwa gets excited by the look of the Fwishing Well, and the two of them come up with an idea: decorate City Town’s fountains in a matching style.

With that in mind, return to City Town and meet Usahana and Wanwa by the fountain in front of the Imagination Cafe. Talk to them there. Wanwa imagines the fountains turning bright and colorful, and Figments appear to reshape the fountains into flowery designs inspired by City Town as the Quest finishes.

One more note: completing this Quest also unlocks the ability to set Wanwa as your Companion. However, like other Visitors, she doesn’t come with any special Companion Abilities.
