Fool Night Gets New Trailer Ahead of November 26 Netflix Release

A new promotional video has been released for Fool Night, the animated adaptation of Kasumi Yasuda’s manga. The series is set to debut on Netflix on November 26, marking a first-time collaboration between animation studios Sunrise and Shaft.

The story is set in a bleak, dystopian future where the Earth is shrouded in permanent clouds and oxygen is scarce. Humanity survives through “Transflorazione,” a process that transforms people into plants in exchange for a large sum of money. At the center is Toshiro, a young man crushed by debt and poverty, who chooses to undergo the treatment to save his sick mother. His transformation triggers an unusual side effect: he can hear and understand the voices of those who have already become plants. With this rare ability, the government recruits him right away to cooperate with authorities and investigate strange crimes tied to the plant world.
