How to Start the Imaginary Topiary Visitor Quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
“Imaginary Topiary” is a Visitor Quest for Sora, the light blue bear who’s friends with Usahana, in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. It’s tied to the City Town region and becomes available only after you’ve hit 5 Stars with Sora and asked him to live permanently in his Rainbow Tower apartment. You’ll also need to have Panya unlocked as a permanent resident and completed her Visitor Quest “Art from the Heart.”
Task Search: What You Need Before Starting
Before you begin, make sure you’ve completed these requirements:
- Reach 5 Stars with Sora
- Invite Sora to live permanently in his Rainbow Tower apartment
- Unlock Panya as a permanent resident
- Finish Panya’s Visitor Quest “Art from the Heart.”
Once those are done, start the Quest by speaking with Usahana. They’re usually outside Rainbow Tower, but can also be found near the City Town Dock or by the Imagination Cafe.
Redesign Topiaries With Sora: Complete the Quest
After you talk to Usahana, the story kicks off with the idea that since Panya created her mural, Sora has been thinking of ways to improve City Town. Your next step is straightforward:
- Follow Usahana to find Sora.
- Look for Sora next to a shrub in front of Rainbow Tower, near the stairs that lead down to the park on the west side of City Town.
- Talk to Sora. He’ll start imagining the shrub in different shapes.
As Sora comes up with new designs, a Figment appears and the topiary changes shape each time. After a few rounds, he’ll prompt you to imagine your own option—but there’s an important catch: you can’t choose freely and must select Usahana-shaped.
What You Unlock: Change Shrubs Around City Town
The Quest ends when Sora tells you that you can now redesign shrubs across City Town. After completing it, you can approach potted shrubs throughout the area—specifically the small shrubs in blue pots (not the larger orange flowerpots). Interact with a shrub and pick one of the following options:
- Round (the default look: a small round ball)
- Square (a stack of squares)
- Shapes (a stack that includes different forms such as a heart, ball, and star)
- Usahana (the shape of Usahana’s head)
Tips for Using the Topiary System
- You can change any topiary at any time, and you can do it as many times as you like.
- Finishing the Quest also unlocks Sora as a companion, but he—like other Visitors—does not come with special Companion Abilities.
