Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Guide: Find and Catch Sea Shanty Sheets
Song Sheets—sometimes referred to as sea shanties—are a collectible you can find across Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced. Once you track one down, you’ll be able to have your crew sing it while you sail, but there’s a catch: you don’t simply grab these items like normal loot. Instead, the game makes you “catch” the floating sheet by getting close and then completing a short parkour-style sequence.

Song Sheets, also called Sea Shanties, are a type of collectible in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced. They are songs that you can make your crew sing while navigating the seas. Something interesting is that you can’t just pick them up… you need to catch them!

How to Catch Shanties
Whenever you hunt for a Shanty, you’ll spot a floating song sheet hovering over a specific spot in your area. You must move close enough to collect it, but be careful—once you get too near, the Shanty starts to dart around. That triggers a brief parkour sequence you have to complete to reach it.
To finish the challenge, jump over the obstacles and stick to the route ahead. The course is generally simple. After a short moment, the Shanty will pause, giving you the opening to pick it up.
If you slip off a roof or waste too much time chasing it, the Shanty will vanish. The good news is that it will return fairly quickly—just walk away from the area for a few seconds, then head back to attempt it again.
Cape Bonavista Song Sheets/Shanties
There’s one Shanty in Cape Bonavista.
So Early In The Morning Shanty
This Shanty won’t be available during the tutorial. You’ll have to earn access to fast travel by acquiring your own ship, and only then can you return to this region later.
Start by visiting the camp in the region, positioned to the east of the viewpoints. Head further east until collectible icons start appearing on your map. From there, climb onto a platform that leads into a neighboring area lined with pillars.
Climb the pillar close to a large tree, then use parkour to reach the waterfall. You’ll enter a cave and need to descend. On your left, you’ll spot the Shanty near a branch.
Climb up the branch and continue along the path until you reach the Shanty.
Havana Shanties
There are seven Shanties in Havana.
Billy Riley Shanty
After your first tavern fight—and after you manage to escape the guards—you can head a few buildings to the southwest to find your first Shanty. It’s sitting on a roof, beside a tree.
Dead Horse Shanty
Look to the west of the Basilica Menor de San Francisco de Asis. The sheet is on the roof of a smaller building, and you can spot it near the entrance where a woman is cleaning.
Bully In The Ally Shanty
Find it north of the tavern where the story fight happens, and also west of a viewpoint. Look up to spot the rope stretching between buildings.
Darby Ram Shanty
Use the Havana fast-travel icon on the map, and you’ll arrive on a pier. The Shanty is positioned between boats and platforms.
Spanish Ladies Shanty
Go southwest of the Castillo de la Real Fuerza. The Shanty is on the roof of a building.
Running Down To Cuba Shanty
From the west viewpoint, move to the northeast side of the building. The sheet is floating on a rope. Approach it by climbing the building to your left, then get ready for some parkour.
The Coasts Of High Barbary Shanty
Starting at the Cathedral of Havana, travel northwest. You’ll find the Shanty floating on a rope between rooftops.
Salt Key Bank Song Sheets/Shanties
There’s one Shanty in Salt Key Bank.
Fish In The Sea Shanty
From the tavern, head southwest to the bridge. Look up for two houses connected by a rope. The Shanty will be sitting on that rope.
Cat Island Song Sheets/Shanties
There’s only one Shanty on Cat Island.
The Rio Grande Shanty
Go to the southeastern part of the area until it transitions into a forest. You’ll see the sheet of paper floating on a tree trunk. Move to the right, climb a branch, and start jumping across branches to reach the Shanty.
