Black Ops 2 Zombies Guide: Find and Use Every Gun Storage Locker Location
The Gun Storage Locker is a distinctive feature in Black Ops 2 Zombies that lets you pick up a firearm, stash it in a locker, and retrieve it later—either during the same match or in a different run—no matter which map you’re currently playing. That means you can, for example, store a Pack-a-Punch RPD while you’re in TranZit and then pull it out in Die Rise (and the reverse is also true). Below is how the system works and where to locate gun lockers across the eligible maps.
What the Gun Storage Locker Lets You Do
While Wonder Weapons can be a big part of high-round plans, they’re not the only route to success in Black Ops 2 Zombies. The locker mechanic is another meta-friendly tool—especially when you’re building strategies around wall buys and box pulls.
It’s also important to know where this feature exists. The Weapon Locker is only available in TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried, so you won’t find a locker option in Mob of the Dead or Origins.
How the Storage Mechanic Works (and What It Can’t Store)
The Weapon Locker functions as a secure storage spot you can access across TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried. The loop is simple: place a weapon into the Gun Locker, get killed, then start another match and withdraw that same firearm to use it again.
You can even store Pack-a-Punch weapons, which makes the system useful for carrying forward a power boost between matches and maps.
- You can store a firearm in the locker, die, then retrieve it in a later match.
- Access is shared across TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried.
- You can store Pack-a-Punch weapons.
However, there are limits. You cannot store the M1911, the Ballistic Knife, or any Wonder Weapon in the Weapon Locker.
Because the maps don’t all share the same weapon lineup, the locker may swap what you store for a different gun when you retrieve it from another map. For instance, if you attempt to store the LSAT on Buried, then when you use the Weapon Locker from TranZit, you won’t receive the LSAT—you’ll instead get an RPD.
- Python is associated with TranZit and Die Rise for this replacement behavior.
Two more important rules shape how you plan your runs:
- You can’t keep two copies of the same gun in the locker system.
- When you pick up a weapon from the Weapon Locker, it replaces the gun you’re currently holding.
- The ammo you place in the locker is the ammo you’ll get back when you withdraw the weapon.
Where to Find the Gun Lockers by Map
TranZit – Gun Locker Location
The Gun Locker in TranZit is located in the Farm. After you reach the area—by following the bus route from Bus Depot > Diner > Farm—go into the farmhouse on the right. The Gun Locker itself is the fridge positioned by the wall with a bloodied handprint.
Die Rise – Gun Locker Location
The Gun Locker in Die Rise is located to the left of the Power Room. Once Power is turned on, move through the rooms on the left that include the showers. From there, turn left again to find a blue fridge among the rubble; that fridge serves as the Gun Locker for this map.
Buried – Gun Locker Location
The Gun Locker in Buried is located inside the General Store. The General Store sits opposite the Sheriff’s House, which you visit to free Arthur from his cell. Enter through the front door of the General Store, and look just behind the counter on the left—there you’ll find the Gun Locker.
