Palworld: Clear the Fog of War in Sunreach With the Watchtower

In Palworld, wiping out the fog of war in Sunreach is straightforward: locate the Sunreach Watchtower on your map and activate it. The Watchtower works a bit differently from the Great Eagle Statues—while those statues help reveal the surrounding area, the Watchtower gives you a clearer read on where you should head next.

And if you’re trying to track down that special black sand in Palworld, you’ll need to go looking for it once night falls, since the material gives off a glow after dark.

When you reach Sunreach in Palworld, the first thing you’ll notice is that the map is covered by clouds. The game keeps things this way until you track down the Sunbreak Watchtower, effectively nudging you to activate it before you start exploring freely.

If you enter Sunreach by using the altar on top of the Feybreak Tower, you’ll land on the eastern side of the island.

From there, move a little southwest and watch for the Watchtower icon on the map. Once you spot it, interact with the statue at the top to reveal the Sunreach map in Palworld.

If you didn’t use the altar to reach Sunreach, you can still find your bearings using a simple visual comparison: the Feybreak Watchtower is taller than the Great Eagle Statue, so it stands out from farther away. Focus on the island’s eastern region, then wait until the Watchtower logo appears on your map.

Sunreach in Palworld

Sunreach is one of the two regions added when Palworld launched version 1.0. It’s a floating island, which naturally makes travel trickier than most places. The intended route is to keep working through the main quest until you obtain the seventh Key Sphere—after that, the boss fight in Feybreak will steer you toward Sunreach.

In Sunreach, you’ll finally be able to collect the last Key Sphere, but only after taking down Auri and her Pal team. Unfortunately, this isn’t as simple as walking through an ominous altar. Instead, you need to disable the barrier around the tower by visiting six separate locations across Sunreach.

If your character and Pals are well-leveled, the process should go smoothly, but if you’re coming in underleveled, traversing Sunreach becomes a lot less comfortable. Much of the area demands mobility to explore effectively, so being too low on power can slow you down or make the route feel punishing.

Once you clear the vortex in Sunreach, you can confront Auri and take on the challenge. If you defeat her, she rewards you with the final Key Sphere. After that, the next objective is to face Panthalus, and winning that boss encounter is what earns you access to the World Tree.
