Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced Viewpoints Guide and Treasure Maps

In Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, viewpoints are one of the most useful kinds of collectibles you can find. Each time you synchronize a viewpoint, you expand your map and automatically highlight nearby treasures, so it’s smart to treat them as an early priority. Once you’ve cleared out these locations, you can comfortably move on to the rest of the collectible hunt.

This guide breaks down every viewpoint you can visit in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, including where to find them by region.

How to Synchronize Viewpoints

To synchronize a viewpoint and unlock the area on your map, you’ll need to climb up to the building where the synchronization point sits. When you’re close enough, you’ll notice a marker icon and a bird perched on the spot.

Stand on the synchronization point, then use the button prompt that appears. After that, the synchronization will complete and your map progress will update.

Cape Bonavista Viewpoints

Cape Bonavista has two viewpoints.

Center Viewpoint: This one is tied to the tutorial, so it’s essentially impossible to miss. Follow the objective, climb the tower you’re directed to, and then move to the location where the bird is standing.

South Viewpoint: After your first fight with your initial enemy, the Assassin, you’ll need to make your way toward Havana. Once you regain control, look for a major branch route that takes you to the second viewpoint.

Havana Viewpoints

Havana contains nine viewpoints.

Tavern Viewpoint: After purchasing a sword, Captain Stede will ask you for directions to a tavern. As part of the main mission, you’ll be sent to climb up to a viewpoint. It sits on a tall yellow tower, and you’ll typically need to cross rooftops to reach it.

Basilica Menor de San Francisco de Asis Viewpoint: This viewpoint is located on a large grey structure in the southern part of the area: the Basilica Menor de San Francisco de Asis. You can scale it using climbing points along the sides, but watch out for guards nearby.

If you’re heading there from the map, go southwest until you reach the edge of what you’ve uncovered so far. You should spot a yellow building topped with a large tower—that’s where the viewpoint is.

Governor’s Mansion Viewpoint: You’ll find this one in the southwest of the region as well, but it’s a bit farther northwest than the Basilica viewpoint. The location is on a large red and yellow mansion that’s heavily guarded; the good news is that you can still reach it without trouble by climbing from the north.

Cathedral of Havana Viewpoint: Travel to the Cathedral of Havana, a church that’s under reconstruction on the north side of Havana. It’s near a General Store and close to a Harbourmaster. You can scale the front relatively easily by using the small windows on the right side.

West Viewpoint: This viewpoint is on the west side of Havana, right near the city boundary. From the Cathedral of Havana, head northwest and then climb the cathedral there to sync the viewpoint.

North Cathedral Viewpoint: Located in the north of Havana, this viewpoint sits close to the edge of the city area. To reach it, you’ll need to climb a cathedral near a Harbourmaster.

Castillo San Salvador de la Punta Viewpoint: Head northwest out of the region to find an exit from the main city that leads into a rural zone. In that countryside area, you’ll locate the Castillo San Salvador de la Punta. Nearby, you’ll find the viewpoint positioned on top of a treadmill.

Castillo de la Real Fuerza Viewpoint: On Havana’s northeast side, you’ll come across a major castle known as Castillo de la Real Fuerza. When you face it, the viewpoint is on your left, sitting on a tower.

To get there, go left and work through the platforming routes until you reach the top of the castle.

Salt Key Bank Viewpoints

There is one viewpoint in Salt Key Bank.

Salt Key Bank Viewpoint: When you arrive at the merchant pier—where you can upgrade your ship—turn your attention to the left side. You’ll see a tall tower you can climb, and that structure holds the viewpoint.

Florida Viewpoints

Florida has one viewpoint.

Florida Viewpoint: On the small island, the viewpoint is located to the south. Walk through the broken ship pieces and look for a topmast with a bird sitting on it.

Matanzas Viewpoints

Matanzas has one viewpoint.

Matanzas Viewpoint: When you enter the new area, go to the right, which is southwest relative to your entry point. The viewpoint is on a yellow house on an upper level. You can climb up using the construction platforms around the area.

Abaco Island Viewpoints

Abaco Island has one viewpoint.

Abaco Island Viewpoint: This one is fairly straightforward because there isn’t much land to cover. When you reach the camp with bodies, focus on the rock formation that has a branch growing out of it. It’s positioned around the center of the island.

When you’re ready to climb, look for the larger branch that leads upward toward the viewpoint.

Cat Island Viewpoints

Cat Island has one viewpoint.

Cat Island Viewpoint: After you pass the island entrance, you’ll see a house on the left with a tall chimney. Climb the chimney to reach the viewpoint.

Great Inagua Viewpoints

Great Inagua has one viewpoint.

As you advance through the story, you’ll unlock a manor that lets you alter Great Inagua and join different activities. On the northeast side of Great Inagua, and close to that manor, there’s a rock formation featuring a large branch—that’s your viewpoint.
