Mob of the Dead: Build the Zombie Shield in Black Ops 2 Zombies
The Zombie Shield makes its way into Mob of the Dead, delivering an essential, buildable piece of kit for Black Ops 2 Zombies—especially when your goal is to stay alive longer than the game wants you to. To craft it, you’ll need to track down three separate parts and then place them on the appropriate crafting table.

This guide is specifically for Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies content, targeting the Mob of the Dead map and the Zombie Shield buildable found there.
Below, you’ll find all Zombie Shield component locations in Mob of the Dead. Use these routes to reduce the amount of aimless running you’ll do while searching, and to help you avoid getting caught by zombie bites and slaps.
No one escapes alive in Mob of the Dead, but an updated Easter egg walkthrough can still give you a better shot at breaking the cycle in Black Ops 2.
One key difference from other Zombies maps in Black Ops 2: in this map, you can collect all of the Zombie Shield parts at once. That means you can grab every component first, then decide which buildable workbench you want to use. If you’re looking for a straightforward option, the Cafeteria is recommended because it’s the most open area. Your other workbench choices are the upstairs cellblock in Broadway and the one under the Docks.
Cell Door Locations in Mob of the Dead (Zombie Shield Part #1)
The Cell Door component appears in three spots around the Citadel Tunnels:
- The spiral stairs on the left, traveling from the Citadel Tunnels toward the Docks.
- In the elevator hallway at the bottom of the Citadel Tunnels.
- In the far-right corner when you leave the Citadel Tunnels before Building 64 (the generator room).
Clamp Locations in Mob of the Dead (Zombie Shield Part #2)
The Clamp part has three spawn locations spread through the Building 64 / generator room area in the Docks:
- On a shelf against a brick wall behind the entrance to Building 64.
- On the floor near a generator.
- In the back-right corner on a shelf.
Hand Trolley Locations in Mob of the Dead (Zombie Shield Part #3)
The Hand Trolley has three spawn locations, all within the Docks:
- Directly in front of the big crane, just to the left of the locked door you need for the plane-related item.
- Near the cargo on the left side, along the route toward the Mystery Box and the Sniper Tower trap.
- Underneath the Sniper Tower on the left, positioned opposite the Mystery Box.
