How to Unlock the “Bonus Stage” Quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

“Bonus Stage” is the fourth quest tied to improving the Sashimi Spire in Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town. To unlock it, you’ll need to finish the quest “Secret Ingredient”, then upgrade the Spire by feeding it 40 Boba Tea of any flavor. Once that’s done, you can start “Bonus Stage”, where Usahana keeps introducing Kirimi-chan to all the highlights of City Town.

Checklists

  • Find Kirimi-chan
  • Join the Arcade Tournament
  • Check On Usahana
  • Upgrade the Sashimi Spire
  • Quest / Upgrade Rewards

Find Kirimi-chan

Talk to Usahana, who is located in the City Center area of City Town. She explains that she can’t locate Kirimi-chan and admits she’s concerned the newest resident of City Town isn’t enjoying the place. You reassure her that you’ll help track down the missing salmon fillet.

To learn whether anyone has seen Kirimi-chan, speak with these characters:

  • Pekkle – outside his Music Shop
  • Chococat – in the alleyway by the Fog
  • My Melody – inside the Theater

Sadly, none of them have spotted Kirimi-chan. Still, My Melody and Kuromi are planning an improv night, and they want to invite her.

Return to Usahana. You’ll find her on the rooftop near Keroppi’s Orchard, positioned beside the City Rooftop Fast Travel Mailbox. When you talk to her, you’ll hear activity coming from the Arcade—Kirimi-chan must be there.

Join The Arcade Tournament

Go into Badtz-Maru’s Arcade (on the right side of the rooftop) to locate Kirimi-chan, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, and Pochacco inside. Talk to Badtz-Maru, who explains they’re holding an Arcade Tournament and invites you to participate.

You’ll need to complete one round of each arcade game. Any difficulty works, and there’s no requirement to hit a particular score. For general strategies, check out the Challenges and Mini-Games guide. The three games are:

  • Perplexing Pipes – connect all the pipes so water can flow through them
  • Mail Day – deliver letters to the correct mailboxes by matching the stickers on the letters
  • City Run – an endless runner where Pochacco sprints through City Town and jumps over obstacles

Once you’ve played all three games, talk to Badtz-Maru again. Kirimi-chan will be named the winner, and she’s understandably thrilled. You’ll finish as the runner-up, earning the Sushi Roll Recipe Card, which unlocks a new recipe at the Imagination Cafe.

Check On Usahana

Hello Kitty pulls you aside to say she’s worried about Usahana, then asks you to check in on her.

You can locate Usahana on the beach on the left side of City Town, near the small island off the coast. When you speak with her, she admits she feels overwhelmed—City Town is moving so quickly that she isn’t sure she can keep up.

Upgrade the Sashimi Spire

Even though the quest “Bonus Stage” reaches its endpoint here, you still need to upgrade the Sashimi Spire to unlock the next quest in the progression. This upgrade requires:

  • Nigiri x 80
    • Rice x 80 – Usahana’s return gift
    • Any Ingredient x 80 – simple choices include items gifted by friends, such as Flour, Strawberries, and Tofu
  • Rice x 80 – Usahana’s return gift
  • Any Ingredient x 80 – simple choices include items gifted by friends, such as Flour, Strawberries, and Tofu

When you give the 80 Nigiri to Kirimi-chan, she rewards you with 3 Kirimi-chan Spas. You’ll be able to buy more of these at the Arcade using Badtz-Maru Buckaroos. You’ll also unlock additional ingredients and a brand-new quest to try.

Quest / Upgrade Rewards
