Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Mega City Quest and Tuxedosam’s Outfit Emporium Hub

“Mega City” is a quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town area, and it sets up the final stretch of a longer story that ends with Tuxedosam opening an Outfit Emporium in City Town. When that store goes live, it becomes the hub for urban-styled outfits—including the looks tied to the “City Town Fashion Week” quest chain. Here’s how to start and complete the quest, step by step.

Key takeaways

  • “Mega City” is a City Town quest that leads into Tuxedosam’s Outfit Emporium opening.
  • You must fully unlock Kuromi’s Boutique by completing the quest chain through “Magic Makeover.”
  • Before you begin, raise the Imagination Cafe to level 14 or higher by serving customers.
  • To kick off the quest, talk to Usahana in City Town.
  • The quest tasks you with making and gifting two Boba Teas to Usahana, then investigating a giant Colorpillar.
  • The storyline wraps up with you visiting the City Rooftop Fast Travel Mailbox to check on the Emporium’s progress.

Task Search

“Mega City” is located in the City Town region of Hello Kitty Island Adventure. It serves as part of a broader chain of quests that finishes when Tuxedosam opens an Outfit Emporium in City Town, selling clothing inspired by city trends—outfits that are also showcased during the “City Town Fashion Week” quest line.

To begin “Mega City,” you need to have fully unlocked Kuromi’s Boutique by completing the quest chain that reaches “Magic Makeover.” You also must push the Imagination Cafe up to level 14 or higher by serving customers. Once those requirements are met, start the quest by talking to Usahana.

  • Help Usahana interview Tuxedosam
  • Investigate the giant Colorpillar

Help Usahana Interview Tuxedosam

Find Usahana, who will be hanging out either in the middle of City Town or out in front of the Imagination Cafe. She explains that she’s currently interviewing Tuxedosam, who wants to open a clothing shop in City Town. Unfortunately, she forgot to prepare snacks, so she asks you to help.

Make two of any kind of Boba Tea and give them to Usahana. Creating Boba Tea requires:

  • 2 x Tea Leaves — bought at the Imagination Cafe PC using City Coins
  • 2 x Tapioca — bought at the Imagination Cafe PC using City Coins
  • 2 x any ingredient that can be used at the Imagination Cafe — easy options include Flour (gifted by My Melody) or Tofu (gifted by Hello Kitty)

After you hand the Boba Tea to Usahana, she begins asking Tuxedosam questions—only for the conversation to be interrupted by the sudden arrival of a giant Colorpillar.

Investigate the Giant Colorpillar

Go back to Usahana, who’s overwhelmed by all the strange events in City Town. She points out that it started with giant food during the Kuromi’s Boutique quests, and now there are giant critters showing up too. You reassure her that you’ll help figure out what’s happening.

Talk to Chococat, who can be found somewhere in City Town—often near the fog at the end of the street. He says he’ll look into the weird phenomenon and will let you know once he learns more.

Next, return to Tuxedosam, who is either near the Imagination Cafe or in City Center. Talk to him there. Even though the giant critter sighting is stressing everyone out, Tuxedosam is actually thrilled—because a new storefront has appeared in City Town for his Emporium.

Head to the City Rooftop Fast Travel Mailbox to locate the ongoing Emporium. It’s positioned to the right of Keroppi’s Orchard. Speak with Usahana at that spot. She tells you that Tuxedosam loves the location and is preparing for his grand opening, though she’s still uneasy about the giant critters.

The quest ends here, but the game is teasing that you’ll learn more about what’s really going on soon.
