Cobblemon Resurrection Machine Guide: Build It and Revive Fossil Pokémon
In Cobblemon, some prehistoric Pokémon are effectively “gone forever” unless you can resurrect them—because if you locate a Fossil, you can use the mod’s Resurrection Machine to bring those extinct species back to your roster.
How to Build a Resurrection Machine in Cobblemon
The Resurrection Machine isn’t a single craft—it’s assembled from three separate components. Before you can make the full machine, you’ll need to build the following parts:
- Fossil Analyzer
- Restoration Tank
- Data Monitor
Fossil Analyzer Recipe
- The Fossil Analyzer is placed on the bottom-left side of the Resurrection Machine.
To craft it, gather Cobbled Deepslate, an Amethyst Shard, Iron Ingots, Glass, and Redstone Dust. Cobbled Deepslate, Iron, and Redstone are all obtainable through mining. Amethyst Shards come from underground geode structures. Glass is produced by smelting Sand—Sand is mined from Sand blocks—inside a Furnace.
Restoration Tank Recipe
- The Restoration Tank goes on the right side of the Resurrection Machine and uses the entire right-hand section.
For the tank, you’ll need Iron Ingots, Glass, Revive, and a Composter. Iron Ingots are made in a Furnace after mining Iron Ore. Revive is crafted by combining Heal Powder with a Honey Bottle. The Composter is built by arranging any Wooden Slab into a “U” shape.
Data Monitor Recipe
- The Data Monitor is installed on the top-left of the Resurrection Machine.
This component requires Iron Ingots, Copper Ingots, Glass, and a Redstone Torch. The ingots are also made using a Furnace after you pull the relevant ores from mines. To create a Redstone Torch, combine a Stick with Redstone Dust placed above it.
How to Use the Resurrection Machine in Cobblemon
To run the Resurrection Machine, you must have a Fossil and organic items worth 64 or more. A Max Revive is the simplest option because its organic material value is 64. If you want to avoid using a Max Revive, you can also use a stack of Seeds or Food instead—higher-value items reduce how much you’ll need.
Once you have the required items, interact with the Resurrection Tank and right-click to load them in. Keep repeating until the tank is full of liquid. After that, place the Fossil into the Fossil Analyzer by right-clicking the bottom-left of the machine.
The Resurrection Machine takes 12 minutes to complete, and the Data Monitor switches to a green display when the incubation step is finished. However, the Pokémon won’t be yours automatically—you still need to catch it. Hold a Poké Ball and right-click the tank. As an alternative, you can left-click and break the tank to release it into the wild, but that means you’ll have to rebuild the tank before you can use the machine again.
All Fossil Pokémon in Cobblemon
There are 15 Fossil-only Pokémon you can obtain. The list includes:
Fossilized Dino, Fossilized Fish
Fossilized Bird, Fossilized Dino
Fossilized Drake, Fossilized Fish
Fossilized Bird, Fossilized Drake
How To Find Fossils in Cobblemon
To dig up Fossils in Cobblemon, you’ll need a Brush. The Brush recipe uses a Stick, a Copper Ingot, and a Feather. In vanilla Minecraft, Feathers drop from Chickens and Parrots, but in Cobblemon bird Pokémon can also drop Feathers.
With the Brush equipped, go up to Suspicious Sand or Suspicious Gravel at a Fossil Dig Site, Ruins, Mini Dungeons, or Village structures. Hold right-click to extract loot until you obtain the Fossils you want. You’ll typically see the fossil start to appear during a single brush session, and after 10 uses it should pop out of the sand or gravel.
