Dragon Ball’s Next Overpowered Villain Fu Gets Official Spotlight

Fu—a recurring threat in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Super Dragon Ball Heroes—is an artificial demon created by Towa, and his Power Level sits above nearly every living being across the multiverse. With Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 moving toward its last stand, Fu is receiving a major upgrade—something fans haven’t seen since the era of Black Frieza.

That upgraded form is Ultimate Fu, which is set to become the final challenge Goku faces in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Fu’s ability lets him corrupt living targets and transform them into Ultra Supervillains, and he has used that power to assemble an army of Dragon Ball’s greatest fighters—aimed at stopping Goku for good. Still, even with that advantage, Fu is expected to be more than any single hero can handle. He already proved he could scale high enough to rival Zeno in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, and this new Ultimate state threatens the multiverse’s stability itself.

Ultimate Fu is set to be the biggest multiverse-level threat in Xenoverse 2

Fu is presented as the strongest demon in the Dragon Ball franchise, with only Rymus positioned above him. Because of that, when he unlocks a new transformation, it places him above most of the series’ Gods. By apparently applying his Ultra Supervillain corruption to himself, Fu evolves into Ultimate Fu. He’s positioned as the final boss for the concluding content of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s final DLC. In terms of power, Ultimate Fu is described as the strongest villain in the game, outpacing fighters such as Broly and Cell Max, which effectively sets his strength to match the endgame scale of the Dragon Ball Super manga.

In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Fu eventually becomes strong enough to fight multiple versions of Vegito and Gogeta simultaneously. Goku won’t be fusing to respond to Ultimate Fu, though—he’ll instead rely on his newly introduced Ultra Superhero transformation. The expectation is that Goku will need help from Xenoverse 2’s Future Warrior to defeat Ultimate Fu for good. Depending on how the final confrontation is staged, Ultimate Fu may even surpass Black Frieza in sheer power.

Ultra Ego is framed as the direct opposite of Ultra Instinct in every meaningful way, and it’s also positioned as the tool Vegeta needs to finally overtake his longtime rival.

Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, has been turned into an Ultra Supervillain

The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 trailer for the Future Saga Part 4 DLC doesn’t just emphasize Fu as the main problem—there’s another major villain threat. Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, has officially been corrupted by Fu and transformed into an Ultra Supervillain. Chronoa is already one of the strongest Gods in the cosmos, so having her fall under Fu’s control is a serious setback for the heroes.

In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Chronoa’s power is depicted as high enough to rival the Dark King Mechikabura, and she can even seal him away with help from Xeno Future Trunks. Ultra Supervillain Chronoa has been shown clashing with the Future Warrior in clips tied to the new DLC pack, which suggests she could also end up as the player character’s final boss—while Goku handles Fu.

Goku’s Ultra Superhero form is his only path against Fu’s corruption

With Dragon Ball putting Goku up against some of its strongest threats yet, it only makes sense that he’d unlock a new transformation to gain an edge. By resisting Fu’s Ultra Supervillain corruption, Goku triggers his own “Ultra Superhero” state. In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, this form is referred to as “Ultra Supervillain Quelled.” Instead of being taken over, Goku flips the corruption to his advantage—gaining the benefits that come with the Ultra Supervillain style while keeping his own identity intact.

This form is visually framed with a green-and-blue aura, along with a crystal on his chest that boosts his new power. Ultra Superhero is being treated as Goku’s strongest form yet.

By combining Ultra Supervillain with Perfected Ultra Instinct, Goku is positioned as the Z-Fighters’ best possible route to saving the multiverse. In the Future Saga Part 4 trailer, Goku is shown facing a group of fighters that includes Gohan Beast and Orange Piccolo—both described as among the most powerful characters by the end of the Dragon Ball Super manga. That alone implies Ultra Superhero Goku must scale above nearly every major character from the manga, setting up an intense final showdown between him and Ultimate Fu.
