Susanoo stands out as one of the most oppressive defensive techniques in Naruto. It was introduced by Itachi during his battle against Sasuke, where he demonstrated how overwhelming it could be. In practice, Susanoo acts like an impenetrable-looking fortress that makes the user extremely difficult to put down, while also letting them unleash brutal counterattacks.

Still, what happens if Susanoo ever has to stand toe-to-toe with the Devil Fruits of One Piece? The answer isn’t clear-cut, because some Devil Fruits reach levels of raw power that even Susanoo might struggle to overcome.

Naruto, however, has been nerfed—meaning in his current weakened condition, he isn’t anywhere near Konoha’s top-tier ninja.

7 The Gura Gura no Mi Can Create Tsunamis and Earthquakes

The Gura Gura no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that lets its user trigger tremors whenever they want. With that ability, it can obliterate nearly anything in its path. During the War of Marineford, Whitebeard showcased just how terrifying it is, nearly bringing down the entire island. If its standard offense can level mountains, then it could plausibly destroy a Susanoo as well—though it might require more than a single hit to finish the job.

6 The Yami Yami no Mi Could Crush the Susanoo With Its Gravity

The Yami Yami no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit eaten by Blackbeard. He spent years waiting in the shadows to obtain it, clearly aware that it was one of the biggest threats around. This Devil Fruit lets him control darkness, and he can also summon massive vortexes that drag targets toward him. But the power doesn’t stop there: Blackbeard can form black holes that crush anything caught inside, using gravitational force as the mechanism.

It’s reasonable to assume that if Susanoo were somehow sealed within a black hole, it would be ruined quickly. The Yami Yami no Mi can also nullify powers in One Piece, though whether that same effect would work on Susanoo is still up for debate.

The Haki available to these Naruto characters would put the toughest One Piece pirates to shame.

5 Ope Ope no Mi Can Bypass Almost Anything

It doesn’t matter what stands directly in his way, because the Devil Fruit grants him the ability to cut through virtually anything, even something as formidable as a meteor. In theory, Law should have a straightforward path to destroying a Susanoo.

4 Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu Can Easily Obliterate Anything in Its Path

Kaido had a mythical Zoan Devil Fruit known as the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu. That fruit allows him to shift into a dragon form that’s close to indestructible. Along with flight, it gives him major improvements to durability and a host of other combat advantages. Kaido can also use a technique called Boro Breath, a single strike that can wipe out an entire mountain.

Given those showings, Kaido probably wouldn’t have too hard a time removing a Susanoo while in his Dragon form. If Boro Breath doesn’t get the job done, Kaido could still switch to Rising Dragon Flame Bagua to melt Susanoo.

2 Magu Magu no Mi Offensive Ability Makes It a Threat

Magma is among the most destructive substances found in nature. So when someone gains the ability to control it, there’s little surprise that they become a feared threat. The Magu Magu no Mi grants the user the power to generate and manipulate magma at will.

Right now, this Devil Fruit is held by Akainu, the Fleet Admiral of the Marines. He likely acquired the Magu Magu no Mi many years ago, and after refining his skills, he has finally mastered how to use it. Akainu can unleash brutal attacks that cover wide areas, and in close-range fights he can burn opponents down hard. In Naruto, fans have already seen that the deadly Boil Release techniques can melt Susanoo—so the Magu Magu no Mi should be able to produce a similar outcome.
