Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs Track Newcastle Winger Yankuba Minteh
Newcastle United winger Yankuba Minteh is attracting monitoring interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa after an encouraging start to his first season at St James’ Park, although no club has made an approach and a move is not expected before summer 2027.

The Ivory Coast international joined Newcastle from Hoffenheim for around £43 million in July and has quickly shown the qualities that persuaded the club to invest heavily. His pace, willingness to take on opponents and direct work from the left have drawn attention in England and Germany.
Manchester United and Arsenal had both watched Minteh before Newcastle completed the transfer, while Tottenham and Aston Villa have also followed his development. Liverpool have been linked with the player, but that interest has not been established.
Minteh has scored twice despite being used sparingly. He found the net in Newcastle’s 3-2 Carabao Cup second-round win over West Bromwich Albion, a match in which he started the opening half. His first Premier League goal came during a 4-1 loss at Leeds United in mid-September, one of four league appearances made from the bench.
United see the 20-year-old as the type of high-upside wide forward who could grow into a regular starter. Arsenal are continuing to review options in the wide areas as Mikel Arteta considers attacking depth following an unsuccessful summer attempt to sign Vinicius Junior. Tottenham and Villa are likewise monitoring a player whose one-versus-one ability fits the demand for younger, quicker attackers.
Newcastle hold the leverage
Newcastle do not intend to entertain a January sale. Minteh is regarded as an important part of the club’s longer-term rebuild, and his deal runs through to 2031 without a reported release clause.
That contract places Newcastle in a strong position should interest become more concrete. The current expectation is that none of the watching clubs will submit an official offer before the summer of 2027 at the earliest.
