“We are a threat to any team,” Kane said after the win. “We have to stay humble, but teams will have a hard time against us, with or without the ball.”
Kane also pointed to the benefit of continuity under Bayern’s manager. With the squad having had another full year working with the coaching staff, he feels the players now have a clearer grasp of the demands placed on them.
“We have an extra year with the manager, we now fully understand his ideas,” he said.
Bayern will seek to take that early European momentum into their forthcoming domestic and Champions League matches, with the 5-0 victory setting a demanding standard for the rest of their campaign.
