Ferran Torres Hat-Trick Inspires PSG’s 6-1 Champions League Rout
Paris Saint-Germain began the defence of their European crown with a 6-1 win over FK Slovan Bratislava at the Parc des Princes, producing an overwhelming attacking display in their opening Champions League league-phase match.
Ferran Torres marked his first Champions League appearance for PSG with a hat-trick, while Ousmane Dembele scored twice. Fabian Ruiz completed the scoring late on as Luis Enrique’s side made an emphatic start to the campaign.

Torres said the occasion exceeded his expectations after settling quickly into his new surroundings in Paris. The Spain forward also praised the support inside the stadium and said he wanted to continue providing decisive contributions.
“It was like a dream, an incredible night,” Torres said. “It was my first Champions League game with PSG: we won and I scored a hat-trick. The fans were so passionate that I wished the day would not end. I have adapted faster than I thought I would.”
He added that PSG must continue to meet the standards expected of the champions. “Scoring goals and playing well is always important, showing what the team showed tonight and living up to expectations. I hope I can give the supporters even more happiness.”
Dembele stressed the value of beginning the European schedule with three points and a strong scoreline. The French winger pointed to PSG’s collective work without the ball as well as their fluency in attack.
“Winning tonight was very important,” Dembele said. “We scored plenty of goals and it mattered to start the Champions League well. It was a very good performance and we enjoyed it, attacking and defending together.”
The five goals shared by Torres and Dembele underlined PSG’s attacking depth, while the scale of the result offered an early statement in their title defence. The French champions now move on to their next domestic and European assignments seeking to carry that momentum forward.
