Bayern Munich to Wear 2026-27 Oktoberfest Shirt Against Union Berlin
Bayern Munich have unveiled their Oktoberfest shirt for the 2026-27 season, with the special-edition design set to be worn against Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena on September 18.
What changed for the club
The new Wiesn jersey marks Bayern’s sixth consecutive annual Oktoberfest release, following the start of the club’s dedicated festival-kit tradition in 2021. This season’s version moves decisively away from the restrained styling used on several earlier editions.
A black background carries an abstract floral print, with blurred red, white, blue, yellow and green flowers spread across the shirt. Bayern have retained two established features of the range: the Adidas trefoil on the chest and the custom “FC Bayern Wiesn” badge.
Last season’s Oktoberfest shirt had used cream and green tones and was produced to recognise Bayern’s 125th anniversary as well as the 190th staging of Munich’s festival. The 2026-27 design instead takes its visual direction from the more colourful side of the Wiesn celebrations.
- The Oktoberfest collection also includes jackets, cardigans and sweatpants.
- Official stores are selling Bayern-branded lederhosen, wool boot socks and dirndl dresses alongside the kit.
Competition context
Bayern will introduce the shirt in Bundesliga action, rather than holding it back for a later cup or European fixture. Union Berlin are due in Munich under the lights on September 18, giving the champions a home league occasion for the debut.
The match comes immediately before the city’s annual festival begins. The 191st Munich Oktoberfest opens on September 19, and Bayern will look to take three points into the opening weekend of the event.
What is scheduled next
The Allianz Arena fixture with Union Berlin is scheduled for September 18, when Bayern are expected to wear the new Oktoberfest kit for the first time. The game arrives one day before the official opening of the 191st Oktoberfest in Munich.
