Atlético captain Lola Gallardo launches OnlyFans channel for fans

Atlético Madrid captain Gallardo has launched an official OnlyFans channel, using the digital subscription platform to give supporters access to her training routine, matchday preparation and life away from football.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper said the project is intended to create a more direct connection between players and supporters as interest in the women’s game continues to rise. Her channel will follow her through the season and include personal content as she and her wife, Cristina Vicente, prepare for the arrival of their first child.

Gallardo aims to bring supporters closer

Gallardo believes there remains room to improve the relationship between fans and the people playing at the highest level of women’s football. She said the sport’s rapid growth makes it an important moment to share the stories that are not normally visible around matches.

“Women’s football is growing massively in popularity, and it is an incredibly exciting time to be involved,” Gallardo said. “There is still a lot to do to help supporters feel closer to the players and to the stories behind the game. That is why I am so happy to join OnlyFans.”

She added that the channel would allow followers to track her campaign, understand more about her life beyond the pitch and engage with the broader women’s football community. Gallardo also pointed to Atlético’s longer-term European objective, with the 2027-28 Women’s Champions League among the ambitions in view.

Decorated goalkeeper faces difficult Atlético start

Gallardo brings a substantial record to the partnership. She won the Women’s Champions League with Lyon in 2020, collected the 2024 Zamora Trophy and has represented Spain at five major international tournaments.

Her immediate focus, however, is on Atlético’s domestic form. David González’s team have taken six points from their opening four Liga F games and stand eighth in the table after an uneven beginning to the campaign. Atlético have conceded six goals across those fixtures.

An away match against Athletic Club on Sunday, September 27 presents an early test for the captain and her defence. Atlético will need a more resilient performance if they are to curb their inconsistency and avoid losing further ground on the early league leaders.

Growing use of direct fan platforms

Gallardo joins a wider group of established women athletes using subscription platforms to communicate directly with their audiences. Boxers Shannon Courtenay and Shauna Browne, tennis player Chloe Paquet and MMA fighter Shauna Bannon have all created similar channels.

For athletes, such spaces can provide room to share interests and daily life, including family, cooking and padel, without relying solely on conventional broadcast coverage.

The pieces here are written the same way — match reaction, transfer notes, interviews and features that stay close to the pitch.
