Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Trailer Confirms 10-Episode Netflix Release on Oct 20

A new promotional video for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has been released, confirming a ten-episode animated continuation set in the same franchise universe. The series will premiere on Netflix on October 20.

Opening theme, ending theme, and what the sequel sets up

The trailer also revealed the music choices for the new season:

  • The opening uses “10:15 Saturday Night” by The Cure (from 1978).
  • The ending features “Watson”, performed by Petite Meller.

Set in a ruthless Night City, the story follows Weak, a former cyberpunk legend now living without cybernetic implants and searching for a new reason to exist in a world that has moved on. His path crosses with D, a traveling netrunner seeking revenge against the people who wiped out his clan, and Talia, a young woman raised among corporations who becomes fascinated by the violence of the gang Maelstrom.

A young film director named Roman is brought in as the connecting thread, obsessed with documenting the group’s lives using an old camera. Together, the four are pulled into a downward spiral of obsession, corporate secrets, and an ending that can’t be avoided.
